Best Tuners to Follow

Hi everyone.

I generally drive cars tuned to an all-around performance spec. Meaning it can handle event/terrain/weather in the game (maybe other than drifting, as I know that can be quite different). I’m looking for tunes that keep the car in the top of their class or no more than 1 class above as well. Don’t like it when A class cars become S2 or S2 to X. etc.

Are Raceboy77, Andi Motorsport and PTG Jamie still around? I happen to find a tune from DonJoewonsong for the Nissan GT-R, so that’s awesome, found him, hope he keeps the great tunes coming.

Does anyone else have any good recommendation for something to follow that has lots of general all-around performance tunes? Or is it too early to be asking?

Raceboy77 and the PTG guys are still around. Don’t know about Andi.
Speaking of which, did the mods forget to put the tuners garage up? Or do we just not get one for FH4?

My go to’s are:

Raceboy77

I haven’t been able to find Raceboy77 yet.

Unless I’m crazy, the only way to search for a tuner follow is if you’re searching for a tune on a car they have already tuned and I happen to be trying to tune? I can’t seem to find an option to just search and follow someone, no matter what car I’m currently driving.

Any specific car that Raceboy77 and GrandmaDriving tuned that is great?

Me lol, I’ve made some pretty bomb tunes already.

I’ll follow you. Any specific cars you’ve been proud of?

DonJoewonSong is overrated, does tuning for quantity and not for quality

the truth is that if you want to have a good tuning, do it yourself, no one shares a very good tunning

I could’ve sworn DJS published loads of tunes on FH3 that he’d set world records with?

Thats simply not true. I admit that tunings are kinda some personal experience and how you can drive with them.

But Don Joewon Song’s tunings in most cases are very epic. For example yesterday tried some Lambo 2012 Aventador Tunings, and most of them are just driving like crap, his S2 998 (i believe it was that)tuning of the aventador is miles away from all the others.

I second this. DJS’s RS tune is sublime. Owns both career and online in A Class.

The no one shares their good tunes part isn’t true, either. Good tunes are always out there, but they can be hard to find buried in all the other shared stuff. And they’ll probably be even harder to find now since the speed, acceleration, handling, launching, braking 0 - 10 ranking are completely useless in FH4. The simulated telemetry data seems correct but the 0-10 ratings can be off by as much as 2 full points. Don’t trust 'em.

Not having all the leaderboards like in FH3 isn’t great for a lot of reasons, but one is that it makes it harder to know whose tune is for real or not. Leaderboards in FH3 had a lot of usual suspects, the same names kept popping up.

Now in FH4, there are a few rival events that still leave it open to build and tune a particular car. When those fill up, the same names will pop up again.

I share all my tunes (mainly because I’m crap at driving)!

Try mine dude. Been busy tuning the James Bond car pack and barn finds. Maybe about 10 tunes shared so far.

I tune all my cars using manual w/clutch, no assists, and sometimes sim steering. In single player, they beat unbeatable drivatars, most of the time very comfortably. Haven’t tested online adventure…jumped on once, hated it, jumped off. Rivals is dead, so can’t compare there either, but single player they will not disappoint.

10 tunes and he’s saying try mine? Um no, 10 shared tunes is not enough to know anything. And I agree DonJoewon tunes are occasionally uncommonly terrible, just like everyone else’s tunes. So his volume, being of occasionally mystifyingly unusable character, is one reason I have shared an impossibly large volume as well. However none of my tunes have ever been shared for the benefit of others, as if I work for you somehow. I share tunes because I do not want the tunes to disappear accidentally, as when I lost 25,000+ mastery points overnight after an update. They returned 100% of my points, which was awesome, since I had wasted them on hundreds of limping dove cars. But if I lost the 1000’s of tunes I’ve adapted for each version of each car, because I never shared and therefore never locked them into my account, I would be devastated. Shared tunes that actually work cost 20,000,000 credits. That’s how you know they work.

WindsweptDragon has a great Peel P50 tune.

Don Joewon Song. As as fast as it gets. Hundreds of number one times don’t lie.
GT Smit. As fast as Joe but tunes much differently. Almost always stock engines. He set 24 number one times by accident one night when we were in a party.
GT Micropeen. Faster than both Don and Smit, and its not even close. We’ve bugged him to come back and play and he has. Every tune he shares can be number one in the world with a good driver.
Youll almost always have a strong tune from the V12 club.

This is a thread to suggest tuners to follow and yet I’ve mostly seen people questioning the quality of some of best known tuners rather than actually making suggestions as expected, so here are mine:

  • Don Joewon Song (for grip cars; makes incredible cross country tune setups)
  • R4NS0N (for balls to the wall speed, some might be tricky to control depending on your skill level but can be really competitive online)
  • Grandma Driving (for balanced yet competitive cars online)
  • SumireUsuta777 (makes awesome dirt spec tunes)
  • V12 SprungBoss (fairly quick, but more grip oriented tunes; can be competitive online depending on who you’re up against)
  • sjeemone (if you’re lucky, you might be able to turn your cars into absolute rockets and yet grippy with their tunes; in general makes speed tune setups)
  • HAWKbest (quick and grippy tunes)
