So, did Playground cut a deal with Audi or something?

Or is the studio parking lot just full of them? Seriously, the only races I finish that don’t have at least one Audi on the podium are the ones they aren’t allowed to enter. They certainly seem to enjoy the benefits of the outstanding rubber-band AI far more than other manufacturers. At this point, I’m afraid I’ll end up ramming the next Audi I see in the real world on principle alone.

I usually play in S class and rarely see them. Were you around for Forza Motorsport 3 Audi S5 edition? FM3 was the only game I’ve ever taken out of a console and tossed across the room. The Audi S5 in that game was so broken in A class it was the only car used by like 95% of the players. In that game the AWD cars had a massive advantage, it seems to back a bit in this title, but to a lesser extent.

With the exception of the S1 quattro, Audis are n00b cars. This makes them popular.

On a more serious note, if it’s the TT-S you’re having as opponent, then it could be related to it being one of the starter cars. Drivatar system is buggy ATM and liveries seem to randomly disappear. Opponent FE cars don’t have any customization either, which is odd because some of them are customized in stock form.

Forza has always favored AWD cars and since Audis are all AWD they are always going to be great performers in any Forza game in particular the Horizon series.

Motorsport 4 hit them pretty hard IIRC. They seemed significantly slower for top speed, probably the only decent one was the EB110 SS.

Yeah they do this thing with every Forza where they try to balance out the game. Only problem is they go from one extreme to the other. First AWD drive cars are nerfed, giving power builds a shot at the top, then they nerf power builds and AWD is back leading the pack.
AWD in Horizon has always been better because of the nature of the driving. But they’re always trying to balance it and they swing wildly from one end of the spectrum to the other. Subtlety is not in Forza’s lexicon!

I noticed this some as well. I created a nice (high speed) route to do some grinding. Takes about 30m for 10 laps. Anyway, its S2 for the event. I use the Zonda FE.

Half of the pack are in S2 specced Audi’s (and not like the quattro or anything that belongs in S2). I think they are like S4 (they are sedans) but I forgot to check.

I have done that race probably 5-6 times on various difficulty (starting one I think expert and going up to Unbeatable) and there were always a slew of these Audi’s.
