So every lobby I get into on has about 10-16 players in it when forza horizon 4 had 30-50. I cant search for a new lobby with more players…… what is the deal? Horizon 4 had the feature and I know 5 has millions of people playing so why are lobbies not filled with players ? …… anyone else notice ?
Horizon 5 doesn’t have Horizon Life sessions in the same way as FH4 had them. Whilst FH4 had Sessions with a maximum of 72 players in each one and you could search for a new one if needed…FH5, on the other hand, did away with that. basically everyone is in one big session and you will only see players near you rather than every player.
This takes a lot of the fun out of free roam for me as in 4 you could see players all over the map and just pull up on people and see what they were doing. If there was a car meet you would know because you would see 15-20 people in one spot.
I noticed something interesting yesterday - the players list on the online tab is not complete. I was apparently in a lobby with only 4 players however was sat in freeroam looking at 3 players that weren’t included on the list, through the course of the day started checking it when I saw another player and 50:50 whether they showed on my list or not.
Yes I know it’s just way it is set up now I don’t really run into people on free roam like I would In FH4. It makes finding people to drive with , meeting new friends harder. If I wanted to fun someone to drag race with on FH4 I just had to look on the mad and there would be like 12 people there I could just drive there and go have fun. If I did not like the lobby I could just go to another one……
Shoot if I wanted to make two seperate convoys with friends I could join their lobby and make two seperate convoys ……
The best part of free roaming was cruising and running into others that wanted to drive ….but now it only feels as tho you have 3 or 4 others in your lobby …… just feels empty is the right feeling
Its there… Best is to jump to main festival or other locations there are more ppl stay there for a while.
Had to disable my notifications yesterday… everyone was sending convoy invites
You can also switch to single player in Menu>Online and back to online wich loads new session
Maybe it’s just me, put Im pretty sure if you just exit to singleplayer and rejoin ‘Horizon Life’ it just puts you back in the same lobby you just left. There is no way to find a new game to my knowledge.
It’s the same for me a lot of the times when I go solo and try to go back online it does nothing and when I try to look at friends it tells me join life session. I have to close out the game and go back in on the series X.
Na its not camping… it takes some seconds until blips appears on map. After jumping to mainfestival it shows the link thingy in yellow so they are there. Open BigMap speeds thing up.
Airfield is another good location
It works but think it prio-loads sessions with more ppl so sometimes its the same lobby. And based on your phys location looking at some clubnames most of the ppl in my session is german
Yes but I don’t want to have to sit around the festival and try and catch players as they come in but it does not seem as tho they are actually in the lobby their cars disappear eventually I feel like a creep might as well pull out the Creep van at that point wanna playyyyy
Some of my best moment is crusing and running into others wether it be on the high way or back roads. Sitting @ the festival camping out and watching players spawn is like watching paint dry. FH4 had 70 people in lobbies where people are all over the map and you could see if people were crusing and just pull up on people. You can barely see people on the map when you look at it then as you get close to the festival bam. 5 people that are not actually in your lobby because when you look at the player list it shows 2 people lol
In FH4 ive seen plenty of times sessions with 75 people. FH5 compared to FH4 is just, a joke. Big huge hilarious joke.
Also, now that you mention it, its true that i dont think ive ever seen an option to change sessions like in FH4.
Crazy how I went back to FH4 for a couple hours to start finishing up the remaining achievements and was shocked to see between 4 and 6 people come to each and every forzathon Live.
Not to mention the half dozen people that came up to me in freeroam and wanted to race/cruise/drift etc. This has NEVER happened to me in FH5, the closest is doing donuts with some guy while waiting for the horizon arcade to start.
Also, the first server I joined there was a massive group of people at the carpark in Edinburgh just hanging out, I mean over a dozen of us where just doing donuts, blasting horns and just parking up next to one another.
Right this is my main issue I don’t want to have to go to the festival to wait and see if I can find some decent people to drive , race , cruise …… you should be able to see people all over the map just like horizon 4. You could see if your lobby was having a car meet in FH4 by there would be 20 plus cars in a parking lot for in the map which k could se from across the map. I would drive over there just to see what was going on.
I could see people on the back roads from across the map and drive to them and join. If I did not like the feel of the lobby or our party was getting to big we would just find a new lobby.
We should not have to plant ourselves directly in front of the festival to find someone to play with …. The lobbies feel like a shell of them selves compared to FH4.
I love free roam because you can literally do whatever you feel , street race , car meet , cruise , etc I was expecting to see lobbies packed because this game is still fresh meeting new people left in right but it is highly disappointing for me ….
Interesting, do you play on PC or Xbox, because for me on PC it puts me into the exact same lobby - I know because the horizon arcades have the same time left and are in the exact same location as the server I just left.
The Horizon Arcades are every 15 minutes, on the hour, so the timing is always going to be the same, and I’m pretty sure they’re in the same location across sessions. This means nothing.
