That’s cool, I’m just saying it’s always been a better strategy to bleed people, than to take everything all at once 
One of the first signs that told me this game was heading down the wrong path was when one of the developers (it wasn’t Chris) spoke up during one of the game’s many reveals and said that racing is a violent sport, and his voice was over a scene of two cars having a collision vicious enough to crumple bodywork and pitch one of them over onto two wheels.
The above is my reaction upon hearing that for the first time. If the last or perhaps only time you ever paid any appreciable amount of attention to racing was because it starred Tom Cruise or Will Ferrell, then “racing is a violent sport” is the exact statement I would expect from you. That was the moment I realized that this game was going places it had no business being in.

I suspect the current version we’re playing has something similar to a major memory leak. Ive played MP alot on XSX and I’ve frequently encountered crashes between events. I’ve also encountered occasional FPS drops when exiting the pit. Something is definitely off and it seems like their only option is short races until this underlying issue is fixed.

It is indeed a memory leak, and the old up the page file not working, really how do they do it, forza 7 had it too
you’re completely wrong about the models, there is definitely more details on cars in race than any previous Forza. i agree there should have been more tracks, but that’s really just the tip of the iceberg of issues this game is currently having. the career save bug still exists, and the multiplayer breaks nearly every second race, and the game can even suddenly go to half speed for a few seconds during online racing. people will smash you off track so you can’t get past them on straights and the game will give them no penalty. i’ve also had same people spin off after ramming into the side of me and i get huge penalties, also killing my safety rating, and there is no report system in the game to combat the issue. this game feels like an alpha version right now.
The physics and graphics in this game are the greatest! ??? Are the people saying this actually playing the game?
The graphics are 2nd rate at best. Yes, some of the tracks look better than they did in FM7. Overall though, the graphics are no better than FM7.
The physics, the physics are no more than FM7 cut and paste. One thing they did improve on is the frictional coefficients when the car runs into the grass. But overall the physics and the AI are basic FM7.

The AI never avoided me in FM7. It frequently does in this game.

I don’t remember which thread I wrote it up on but I did a good study on the AI. It depends on the player. I know you’re a faster player than me so you don’t have to deal with the AI on the same level. But I find them to be just the same AI to deal with as the FM7 AI.
If the game ran fine, I wouldn’t even bother all else you said.
The gameplay is fun, the performance is Hybris at it’s best.
It is pure luck whether the game runs good or the track becomes unplayable. Random stutters in a racing game? I’d rather play AC.
I suspect the update dev reports to MS was it’s all on track to hit the Q3 release for 2023. Nothing to see…
Whilst at T10 they knew the game was a hot mess. I mean QC testing wouldn’t let a game out for release in this state. Unless it was overruled by T10 management to get it out there and reap the wrath of customers and MS management post release. I wonder how my T10 have jumped ship or planning to post release after game completion bonuses have been paid out…

It’s rubbish. You cant say it simpler. Uninstalled, gamepass cancelled, refunded and automobilista 2 purchased as a cheap and much better alternative…
So, let me get this straight… You went to great lengths to cut ALL ties with the game, but bothered to not only go to the Game Forums, but find this particular post… just to tell everyone?
Normal people don’t have such time… Proving just how desperate other games are.

Or, and I’m just thinking out loud here, it might just be a person going to great lengths to let a developer know they are hurting the customer base by the decisions they’ve made in hopes of the developer correcting them.
There was a time when people would actually sit down and pen a letter to express their displeasure of a product and then take time to mail it out. Companies back then actually appreciated that a customer took the time from their daily routines to help/provide feedback to the company. Guess times change, just not always for the better sadly.

I also agree with the author and share the same feelings.
The more I play, the more I see the purge that is this game, the many faults that there are, nothing is going well, incomprehensible choices have been made, Turn 10 and Microsoft have lied to us, fooled us and deceived us, the worst is their silences.
This game as it stands is a pure disappointment, it is incomplete, unplayable, it crashes, bugs, freezes, everywhere, especially in multiplayer, ranking bug in private game, gasoline bug…
In featured multi, today I tried, I say “try” because out of 6 games launched I was able to do only 1 complete race, the rest: game crash on the starting line, infinite loading screen, race which stops after 1 minute 50, interruption bug, event calendar loading bug, game crash while running… all this on Xbox Series X.
What can also be said about the totally unfair and aberrant penalty system which punishes more good players who are victims of the misdeeds of bad players who get away without punishment, penalties and this without any reactions from Turn 10 with their QR code system for ultra restrictive postponement with replays which are useless because they are not functional.
I am sincerely considering requesting a refund and stopping this game.
In the event of refusal of reimbursement, contact a consumer association, it is unacceptable to take the players for pigeons and not to communicate.

Plus je joue, plus je vois la purge qu’est ce jeu, les nombreux défauts qu’il y a, rien ne va, des choix incompréhensibles ont été fait, Turn 10 et Microsoft nous ont mentis, baladés et trompés, le pire est leurs silences.
Ce jeu en l’état est une pure déception, il est incomplet, injouable, ça crash, bug, freeze, de partout, surtout en multi, bug classement en partie privée, bug essence…
En multi en vedette, aujourd’hui j’ai essayé, je dis “essayer” car sur 6 parties lancées j’ai pu faire 1 seule course complète, le reste : crash du jeu sur la ligne de départ, écran chargement infini, course qui s’arrête au bout 1 minute 50, bug interruption, bug chargement calendrier événement, crash du jeu en course…tout cela sur xbox série X.
Que dire également du système de pénalités totalement injustes et aberrant qui punit plus les bons joueurs victimes des méfaits des mauvais joueurs s’en sortent sans punitions, pénalités et cela sans aucunes réactions de Turn 10 avec leurs système de qr code pour report ultra contraignant avec des replays qui ne servent à rien car pas fonctionnel.
Je pense sincèrement demander un remboursement et stopper ce jeu.
En cas de refus de remboursement me tourner auprès d’une association de consommateurs, c’est inadmissible de prendre les joueurs pour des pigeons et de ne pas communiquer.

I think something happened internally that the devs are not speaking up about. Right on release day, the turn10 twitter page (not the fm acct) started posting several different job openings. Strange to me.

Setup a Free Play event. Sadly no accelerated wear/use options for tires/fuel. But you can race for hours if you want.

Its winding me up actually.
Either wait for fixes which they have said are coming, or walk away from the game, get a refund and move on.
I don’t know what constant moaning achieves for anybody. Especially the hyperbolic, “I’ve uninstalled” “They don’t care” etc, its like a bunch of children are frequenting this forum.
You’re doing the same thing with everybody posting things you don’t like, so you have a lot of time on your end too

Good try. But Microsoft does not refund preorders after more than 14 days. Even the game was not available then.
