When a car debuts in Forza, many people rush to get it as soon as it becomes available, and some of those may choose to make a design for it and share it to get many downloads fairly quickly. Of those designs, many end up just being different colours and nothing else. I will admit, even I have created multiple designs that are nothing more than a colour change, and you know why? It’s not just about the downloads - there are not enough manufacturer colours on most cars, so players resort to recreating them on their own, myself included. But sometimes you make a colour that looks so good you just want everyone to see it, so you share it. Then, someone may like that colour but also think of a livery using that paint, what now?
That’s why a section for Shared Colours should be created. This way the multiple recreations of iconic paints such as Midnight Purple, Isle Of Man Green, Azurro Nuvola and many others could be used on more than just one car! Not only that, they could also be used for liveries, even if they can’t be shared afterwards (add Livery Patrons maybe?), and let’s not forget about unfitting wheel colour choices on many colour designs.
Of course, this probably won’t stop people from sharing basic colour designs as fully fledged Liveries, but maybe there should be a prompt popping up every time someone tries to share a livery with a low amount of layers applied, redirecting them to share the colour itself.
