Seriously disappointed with this game

The biggest problem with the game is the default setups, they are extremely wrong, especially the differential settings, almost all Showcase events are unplayable because of this unforgivable lazy programming.

I find that most default setups are okay and could be a lot worse. Gran Turismo 6 had horrible understeer in its default setups if you were a controller user, I had to do all sorts of things to neutralise the cars in that game.

The only thing I hope is that turn 10 didn’t change the physics. The physics are way better than in fm4. It’s a huge progress. There are some issues, but when you play the lowest difficulty it’s impossible to win not. It’s people’s own fault when they choose difficult levels they can handle. First I try endurance events on the highest level, only to see that I need more practice.

I Haven’t reached up there yet

This game didn’t have my most favorite cars from Forza 4, which seriously had me mad since they were never added in to Forza 5 and Horizon 2!

I dont mean to insult you dude, but you may want to try practicing throttle control. I play this game with the controller with the only assist being no clutch manual, everything else is off, and though I’m still learning a large sum of cars, after the e25 nothing else seems so bad. Bottom line, its just time and practice.

Putting an Italia on an endurance podium without assists requires more skill than many of us would care to nurture. Textbook mid-engine behavior makes Ferrari 458 notoriously difficult to drive.

A MR with ground effect is not only quicker but a hell of a lot easier to drive.

If you’re going to play Forza like it’s a “racing game” meant to give you instant kicks and thrills… you’ll be facing the wrong way on the track all too often.

If you take real-life physics into account and play Forza as if you were piloting a high-powered car around a track which can bite back at any time if you’re not gentle around certain parts of the track… you will get the hang of it. The various powertrains as well as weight distribution and suspension behavior are very well represented in the game.

Be patient, and drive your car like they teach you at motorsport school: taking proper racing lines entering a corner, slow in, fast out…throttle control in the middle of the turn etc. all that stuff.

The physics are really good, best engine to date I must say - wish they would get rid of the cap on pad steering.

Look, I play A class, and I have no problems, I your probably playing Ina super high class and that’s why when you turn TCS assist off, it does that

This game BLOWS!

Who else was disappointed that their personal favorite cars from Forza 4 are still not in it?

Who else was disappointed that tracks like Suzuka, Motegi, Fujimi Kaido, and Maple Valley are still not here?

Who else does not like the prize spin mechanic?

Who else wishes that there could’ve been more event variation in the career?

Because honestly that was how I felt playing this game. This games feels more like Forza 5.5 than Forza 6. It tries to improve on flaws that hindered Forza 5, but not bringing back features that made Forza 4 unique in the first place. Things like the auction house and storefront are still gone, and multiplayer lobbies are still absent as well as car soccer, and cat and mouse. There is a reason why Forza 4 still has a dedicated fan base. I could still play Forza 4 on my Xbox One if it not for the selected backwards compatibility kerfuffle.

It’s not the gane, bud, it’s you. You’re just not good at driving. Practice makes perfect.

.

For the record, it’s not my driving. My driving is fine. It’s just that this game has nothing to keep my interests. Unlike most people, I am a casual gamer and I don’t care about the physics and realism and all of that, I just care about the content and what the game has on offer and right now, this game has nothing for me.

I played all the previous iterations of Forza, but, due to circumstances beyond my control, I wasn’t able to upgrade to Xbox One until about 3 weeks ago. So I jumped right into FM6, with FM4 being the last Forza I had played in almost a year and a half. I had read where people were saying there was no traction, and the game was unplayable, but honestly, I was pleasantly surprised at the physics.
I have little trouble with no assists on everything up through A Class. Above A Class I sometimes need Stability Control or Traction Control or both, especially in rental cars where I cannot tune. I my I am able to tune the car, I am usually able to get it tamed and run competitively.
I do believe it all comes down to practice and more subtle inputs. Smooth is fast and maintaining traction is always faster than spinning wheels.
I love this game.

Peace

Despite my initial complaints, I too enjoy the game quite a lot - especially given the consistent improvements they’ve made over the months and oh that VIR + Porsche expansion… king!

I think VIR is my new favorite track in FM

Same here, especially the Grand West and Grand East circuits. But I wish they would have been more integrated in the game (free play when you press X for next map, normal hoppers, normal leagues).

Same; I like VIR, I don’t like how it’s been implemented into the game.

If I don’t want to race online with Porsches I won’t get to race VIR at all at the moment.

Yeah I hope it will come available to everyone in the end. at least come as an optional payment just for the track. ‘‘I hope’’

ViR is the perfect benchmark track.
