Series 5 Events Labs are a disaster

Can’t agree with the console player part (I’m one and even I could do better), but this one was crap. Ended up using the Bac Mono to complete it and even then as others have said, it was more down to luck than anything else.

I dont think i ever liked any event lab so far lol. They are dumb. And really bad designed. But well, we need to “eat” them no matter what, so. I didnt try this series one yet lol, but i know the drill already. This game has become a pure joke. Thank odin i have other REAL videogames to pass the time. Sad, because i love the driving feeling you get in this franchise, but if everything else is terrible…

Event lab has massive potential but in the hands of the public can result in many lackluster creations. I think the game developed stadium stunt park is well done, although there are many spots where your car can float in mid air.

I agree that Eventlab has potential. It needs some help, but they are working on it. I had a fair amount of fun making a few unique creations, and I plan to continue flexing my creativity with it.

In the hands of the public, nearly everything is a S! show, and that’s part of the problem here. They want us to generate content for them, but they are choosing poorly when it comes to what they bring to the top of the list. The Hall of Fame claims 17,776,303 players (top 25k woohoo), and I know that they can’t try all of the Eventlab creations. The rating system would help if it wasn’t full of creations that are made to circumvent accolade challenges. So, the question remains, what can be done to improve the future Eventlab Festival Playlist picks. Sadly, I don’t have an answer, but I think I’ll go play around in Eventlab some more. Making the Coaster series (Share Code - 158 482 482) was fun, but I have a few other ideas about how to play with physics on this platform.

Select the right car and adjust the difficulty to easy, I pass at first try.

What you said makes sense and it seems reasonable that PG doesn’t have the human capacity to look at numerous event projects if they are going to be based on the most played or liked ones. The multiple projects to complete accolades or seasonal events don’t help much in filtering better but, interesting and less irrational ones. Maybe if they researched from some top or recognized players but, anyway, I have no idea what could come up, let alone what goes on in the devs’ minds… their intention may be not to worry much since many playlists’ events are recycled, repetitive, or uninteresting.

Krazy Karts was the worst I’ve seen yet. Get in front at the start or go home. Just pure Demolition Derby with rammers , blockers all the way unless you’re in front.
This weeks was OK cos you get to the front immediately and the track is so narrow there’s no chance of them passing. As long as the car doesn’t fly off on the corners …

I only play seasonal event labs to get the points. The events themselves are truly abysmal.

Another one with tight corners and a cliff. It was less bad then last week but still they could’ve picked better.

I found it easy to win got past the single ai and stayed there just pulled away and no way could he catch me, but have to admit it was boring, but for the low points it was worth it was all it needed to be.

This one was indeed very bad. No space to get any proper overtaking done. I somehow did it on Expert in two tries. Still, I think that Eventlab is great and I personally liked the previous events a lot. That’s probably why the most recent event feels so bad, by comparison.

I only needed to overtake the ai car at the beginning and then just drive to finish the ai stood no chance of catch me let alone pass me lol

This week’s is based on a form of racing people do in real life so no complaints from me, the roads normally used in Touge are meant to make overtakes difficult.

Forza’s AI just doesn’t have the capability to drive it like a real person would, which isn’t really a criticism when I wouldn’t expect it to be able to either.

This + the hillclimb a few weeks ago have made me question the map itself though, someone at PG obviously acknowledges the existence of these types of racing so why couldn’t they have put a bit more variety of roads in that lend themselves to these kind of races?

Its only worth 2 or 3 points so not worth more than 5 minutes of my time so I was glad it was easy and quick just to get the points and move on.

I hope you realize this was said as well in FH4. Some of you still didnt learn anything at all lol.

When FH5 released, you couldn’t even save your eventlab work and come back to it. I spent about 6 hours making a track and wanted a break, but had to power through and hope I didn’t crash. So, at least they have improved a little. And they claim that they are adding a new rule next week.
Yeah, there are many things that they may never do. Like allowing us to select more than one item at a time and clone them as a group. Or make sets of objects like vinyl groups in ‘designs and paints’. Change the size of objects. Edit checkpoints outside of the custom route creator, so that you can race the fastest line and place them at the correct angle without trying to do it at 220 mph. They may never fix the bug where the music doesn’t exit the refrain loop while editing, so you hear the same thing over and over for hours. At least you can save it and go back to the create event menu now to let the song change. I doubt we will ever get a coordinate system to accurately know the placement and angles of objects instead of having to eyeball it. Only time will tell what they will do.

Oh dear George - why go back to the toxic replies?
Just learn to accept people are struggling with some things and stop sniping at them.
You were doing so well for a brief moment.

Yeah - as before - get to the front at the start (like the last one) and it all comes home easy. Usual crap eventlabs being put up with no thought from the Devs about what makes an interesting challenge.
