This series event lab events have been awful! The courses are too narrow to race on and the drivetars crash early on, block the road, and are nearly impossible to pass. After spending nearly an hour fighting this week’s (Krazy Karts) I finally won. Only because I got lucky though… The Caterham seemed to be the best option because of its size and agility. It would have been fine if it were just a single car challenge like they have been in series prior.
Thats True and the Maps are bad it feels like someone with an x Box Controler placed the stuff. Cause Cars stops imeaitly somtimes cause of bad placement. I dont agee with it is hard to win… it is not hard to win, take a good upraded Car and get the first place at the beginning than u can slow down. Last Time i won with [Edit - circumventing word filter is prohibited - MM]
Bentley with zero Handling. For me the eventlabs are like a Job to get the points.
These weekly Eventlab events are a joke.
The only reason that I managed to complete this weeks “challenge” is that I wasn’t taken out at the crossroads on the second lap
The odd one is alright, I liked the one that paid homage to hillclimbs a bit ago.
Since they actually need to do some form of communication with the community for these why not just bring back the Community Championship instead?
But saying that these EventLab events give inexperienced gamers something PG seem to have become obsessed with since the previous game, cheap spectacle.
I liked this thin track. It took me 4 attempts, but I had fun.
Winning this event has more to do with luck than with driving skills.
Best way is to do it on the easiest Drivatar difficulty level, Tourist or whatever it is, doesn’t deserve to be done on anything harder because its rubbish, another one designed by an idiot.
The Drivatar difficulty levels are fixed at Highly Skilled usually, and you can’t change them. Maybe these Event Labs are different?
That’s only for the Seasonal Championships, the Event Labs and the parade race do let you change them.
Yes you can choose the drivatar level for the eventlab race, I wouldn’t have said if you couldn’t. ![]()
Yeah I agree. Some of them have been quite fun. The two chosen for this month’s though have been awful.
I just dropped the difficulty to Tourist. At Highly skilled it was impossible.
Damn! That means I did it in Pro! I still did it in 4 attempts anyway.
I wish they’d stop putting Event Lab things anywhere I might need to do one to grind for something. I have yet to find one that was polished enough to be there. This weeks though is the worst yet.
The event itself is dreadful this week, a narrow path full of barriers and walls apparently made of glue, as touching them slows the car to a stop instantly. And avoiding the walls is easier said than done when the drivatars all want the same bit of track. And the intersection in mid-race is a nightmare.
Thumbs down for the “kart” track.
Worst Yet ? totally - complete waste of my time. Who even thought to put this one in? Some are OK but most have been pointless or just annoying (like this one). Did it eventually but boy was I Pee’d off with it.
Yeah worst part is the fact that it’s just a car crash from start to finish unless you manage to get to the front straight away.
I understand that there is a lot of angst about this one. But I actually really liked it. Redid it last night a couple of times in different vehicles just for the fun of it.
I’ve wanted to build a circuit route sometime that crosses itself resulting in a possibility for mid-race crashes. Now I’m more determined to do than ever. Reminds me of demolition derby figure 8 races I used to see irl and on TV as a kid.
Go for it - love to see what you come up with. Demolition Derby hit the Nail on this one though.
