Separate RWD and AWD in Online

If you’re an online gaming enthusiast and have been venturing into the world of Forza Horizon, you’ve certainly noticed the significant difference in performance between AWD (four wheel drive) and RWD (rear wheel drive) cars.

Those who do car configuration know that most of the time we have to put AWD transmission in 90% of the cars

the rest of the cars that can have RWD transmission. the difference in performance reaches te 800Hp difference in the same class

I believe that many players abandon the Hot Wheels Expansion online mode because of this.

In my opinion, this imbalance problem would be solved if we had the option to choose the type of car’s traction before entering the online session, RWD or AWD.

With the option to choose between AWD and RWD, the online races will become more balanced as the AWD cars will have similar average power and handling. This will ensure that the player’s skill is the determining factor for victory rather than the car’s technical superiority.

By implementing this traction selection filter, Forza Horizon’s online mode will become not only more fun, but also fairer and more balanced. Players will have the freedom to choose the setup that best suits their riding style, promoting healthy and exciting competition.

Join us in this campaign to make racing fairer and more exciting. Together, we can positively influence the evolution of the game and ensure that all players have an equal chance of winning!

I agree. Speed races, which used to be the most fun, have become frustrating because rear-wheel drive (RWD) cars dominate the races. I can’t understand the logic behind an RWD car being so much faster than an all-wheel drive (AWD) car, even if they’re exactly the same model. At the same time, RWD cars are more vulnerable to being pushed off the track by players whose only “skill” is crashing into opponents to eliminate them from the race. So we have other problems besides being forced to using RWD cars and dealing with extremely annoying players who do everything to sabotage you.

I believe that it will bring more competitiveness to the game!

WHAT THE LOGICAL

SUPRA 800 HAS 1000 HORSE POWER AND A CIVIC TYPE R 800 HAS 350 HORSE POWER

This isn’t makeing sense

I agree with that, because there are several that only play with a RWD car, the famous mono car.

I thought it was a good idea, even more so for casual players who prefer to play with cars that are easier to drive

We need equality in online mode

It can’t continue like this

While we are at it let’s have no assist lobbies as well. Unfortunately the racing is last on the list of things they care about and are willing to improve. The game is almost 2 years old and not one thing has been done to improve the racing. Still getting time penalties for being pushed into walls by others who it’s supposed to ghost but doesn’t.

I agree. Online racing (horizon open) would be improved assap.

That would be great, as currently today there is a lot of imbalance between AWD and RWD in the same classes.

Real problem here is the PI system, the awd swap and cars should have more PI than they actually have.

Personally I like things like they are, racing against drivers with diverse drivetrain is a good thing for me, and most of the time I use 2WD cars. I wouldn’t like to be forced to choose the drivetrain before racing.

I would also like to know what you would want to happen to FWD if this suggestion gets accepted…

I didn’t go into the subject about the PI of the cars because it would be more difficult for the developers to change it, it would affect all the shared settings, in my opinion the PI cannot be changed after the game is released. it’s ok to put FWD cars in the filter, this filter wouldn’t take away the other options we already have. In the filter must have RWD, AWD, FWD and all

That’s a great ideia. Races will be more balanced.

There is no need to separate the 2 modes. I think that regulating the traction is more than enough. If you could add a sports traction mode, it would be very good for any type of race, something Similar to Forza Motorsport, the performance between both drives is more stable than in the Forza 5 itself.

Working solution would be to handle it like other competetive games do it: by adjusting PI of cars, and conversions, periodically based on relative positions of cars in racing. Collecting and analizing data could be easily handled by AI, since it’s nothing particilarly complex.

There are 2 “issues” with it:
1st is that it will make online racing tunes obsolete every time PIs change, and that will result in endless screeching of people who treat likes, like they could pay their bills.
2nd is that Playground is extremely reluctant to do any changes, even minor ones with no downsides or pushback. And that one would be nothing short of revolution.

They need to make a RWD only and AWD only drifting like there is on motorsport. We are getting tired of all the AWDs making it very hard to enjoy drifting. Its not fair that i have to compete against AWD cars in drifting.
