I’m gonna have to return this game guys. The First horizon nailed it for me for the simple fact of online racing lobbies. To me, that’s the bread and butter of competitive racing in forza. You could choose road to gravel, all gravel, or street and that was awesome and convinient! In This game, you literally have to turn your car into an AWD which is kind of dumb. Its a bummer because the game looks awesome and they put tuning in here game, but that’s not everything. T10 why?!? O well I’ll hop back on 5.
Sorry it’s not your thing. I’m enjoying as it happens, but you can’t please everyone. Forza 5 is still a good game too, and now it’ll only be a year until 6 releases!
Yea, its a fun game for me for about 30 min.I feel like they took more time implementing the weather and world that they got lazy and said here just jump in a road trip that has a stupid game of king and infected you forced to play. By god if u don’t have an awd car your screwed. I hop online because the solo is repetitive just to get rammed into trees and walls. I mean I win races when I fight back, but I still don’t understand why there isn’t any street races? Ahhhh yea I’ll get like $45 back I think
There are street races and there are ways of getting more street races.
I can not remember which location but try the car meets and showdowns. Some of them give more street races and some give more dirt. Actually try going to Nice car meet and try showdowns.
Also T10 are not the developers, they are more partners for Playground Games / Sumo Digital.
AWD is king but not necessarily. AWD can be tuned to turn just like RWD can be tuned to grip but yes AWD is the safest bet when tuned to turn.
RWD Can be competive and fun as others have pointed out.
I have not really attacked the leaderboards so don’t know what is king there but online I will use AWD if my main aim is to win.
Not sure any game retailer’s I know what except a game back simply because the buyer didn’t like the online part, most would say you should of researched before you parted with your money.
Unless your just going to return it as used and take a loss? Personally I think the offline is great fun worth every penny but that just me.
But enjoy F5.
Not sure why you’re needing AWD, i have several RWD cars and they work just fine. Maybe feather the throttle more? A bit of fine control goes a long way in Forza games.
I actually prefer the rear wheel drive cars in horizon 2, turn them in tight and balance the throttle and it’s fun all the way, that BMW 1 M with assists off is a scream.
Gemma If your finding 4wd doesn’t turn in as tight, try making your front end softer, fit racing front ARB and set it so it’s softer than the rear and do the same with your springs & dampers.
Unfortunately this is the real world. On FM5 yes a well balanced rwd car was the best option for most. However this is the real world. With different surfaces. Textures. Bumps, potholes, rain, hills etc you get the point. And in the real world AWD is typically the faster/easier to handle option. However rwd is definately the most rewarding. Example on a wet twisty road a lightly modded audi s3 will likely be able to keep with an sls. Dry the road out and straighten it and it’s another story…Personally I thought this was one of the good things about the game.
I tuned a BMW 1M to awd and dominate the rwd cars online. That’s where the tuning comes in handy because you can tune the over and understeer. Yea I’ll take the 15$ loss why? Because its boring racing drivatars. Like I said, since I don’t have any friends that play this game, the joyment I got out of FH1 was in the lobbies, which IS the bread and butter. This game is just a lot of driving around, doing the same bland races. I’m not trying to be a bummer , I just think T10 messed up the whole online portion. When I saw that online road trip was the only mode I couldn’t stop laughing.
I’m loving it. While I admit it would be nice to see the addition of searchable, theme based, lobbies, I am in love with the new seamless multiplayer. It works VERY well for our community. We can just head up to the airport and have fun with drag races or choose which race event we want to do. I’m not impressed with in-game voice, but I was not expecting much. We just use party chat.
I love the game. It’s awesome. I find the difference between drive types to be pretty challenging. You have to change your driving style to get the most out of each.
I also suggest you try the Lancia 037. It was the last RWD car to win a World Rally Championship. It’s a beast and I love it. As an aside, that was way back in the 80s so if you’re racing mixed surface rally type stuff, it’s not shocking that a four wheel drive car could outperform comparable front or rear wheeled examples. The 037’s successor was the Delta S4, which was four wheel drive.
You can easily compete, however, if you properly approach driving with a rear or front wheel driven car.
I also think the single player does a good job of structuring race types around what car you’re driving. I’ve not even really gone online save for a couple times.
I’ve had a lot of fun and enjoyed this game quite a bit, and to be honest, I did not really expect to like it so much.
I’m loving this game too it’s brilliant so much fun if I get bored of races I just fool around slide jump and crash into wild drivatars (payback). I had trouble with RWD but I turned all the assists off makes it so much easier especially off road, it takes some practise but once you nail it there is so much fun to be had. Also Playground Games made this game not T10, T10 are responsible for the car modelling.
Stick with it, you’ll get used to it. It is a little weird at first blindly doing 190 through a field of tall grass. Try modifying one of those racing truck things… I don’t know what they are, but they should probably go pretty good through the rough.
turn 10 playground I don’t care who made it they screwed up the online bad.I don’t just want to do street races in Nice they could ever implemented random races all over the map in a simply did not but if they did tell me how I can do this online. someone that has a crew and does online races add me so I don’t take this game back because I love forza but this ain’t forza to me this is The Car game
There is plenty of roads that don’t involve cross-country. Do races around Nice. If you find too many cross-country events then you are simply racing in the wrong area.
