RWD or AWD?

Like the title states what you use and why

I’ve been using AWD because it just feels more stable. Im wondering though if RWD is the way to go.

Cheers, Chris

i use rwd just because everyone on my friends list has a chance of putting up a better time in rivals.
starting to lean towards awd for multiplayer and that just, let’s player nice guy…

Depends on the car

I tend to go to awd for the increased acceleration and traction, but the down side is UNDERSTEER.
You have to learn how to combat this with proper tuning.
Tuning is a little different between rear/mid engine cars than it is with front engine cars.

Depends on how much power you’re running. Generally to top out in a class you need 1000 hp or so and in many instances rwd isn’t good enough on most layouts. Usually awd swap provides a better all around car. Significant tuning adjustments for understeer are sometimes needed and other times even with awd the car is a handful.

Generally awd is the way to go if you’re moving the car to a class higher than its stock class.

Agree!

I tend to like RWD simply due to the lack of understeer, it’s lighter than AWD, and it generally makes you a better driver as you have to work harder to control your car. The Veneno in FH2 was proven to be faster with RWD as opposed t AWD. I currently have all my serious goliath race tunes RWD, including the Veneno as well as a 1515hp 08’ Viper, and they have no issues with grip or stability and likely turn better than AWD without the need to tune excessively. To Each heir own, but that is my personal opinion.

You’re talking about high classes where you can run tires and the cars generally have better mechanical grip. Generally these cars are a piece of cake to drive in the horizon games.

Awd everything A class and below and to an extent S class depending on car.
