Hi guys.
Newbie here, recently got myself an Xbox One and Forza 5, its the only game I will ever play, same with the 360 I had, I only ever played Forza.
So now I am onto Forza 5 and my goal is to climb my way to the top of the D class.
My first question is which drive is most stable and effective ? I started with a FWD car and came 325th I think but I cannot get any more performance out of the car, then it hit me, maybe I need to be RWD or AWD ?
Before I spend another 3 sleepless nights on the wrong drive can someone advise me which one would be most effective for a D classification car ?
Many thanks in advance
I havnt played d class but I find RWD and AWD are about even for higher classes. The track effects which one has the advantage
I have success with both FWD and RWD. I have not driven AWD in anything lower than C class. Depending on the track, both FWD and RWD are great. On almost all handling tracks I go with FWD. On almost all longer tracks I go with RWD. There are some tracks you can drive both and still do very well. MINI Cooper 65’, Acura Integra, Toyota Celica, 97’ Honda Civic, Civic Mugen CRX, Kia Cee’d and the Golf GTi Mk2 all do very well for FWD. The Élan Sprint, Guilia Stradale, Nova SS 396, Camaro SS Coupe and a few others all do well for RWD. If I had to pick one car for FWD and one for RWD, I’d go with the MINI Cooper 65’ and the Nova SS 396. gtFootw has a some very good D Class tunes. You should check his tune list out.
Cheers guys for the input
Excited and off to check gtFootw’s tune for the mini.
Thanks again
The cars at the top are using native drivetrains. The pi swing is too much for D class so don’t worry about swapping them. RWD and FWD seem to be the best in that class. Foots’ mini tune is a good starting point but it will not shoot you to the top. There’s a better tune out there that gives you a little more speed/acceleration. It’s not hard to find if you notice who is always #1or top 5 on all mini tracks.
There only two options. RWD and WWD (wrong wheel drive).
If you look to go on top of the leaderboard, you must not look the drive type but the car that is up there
If I’m not mistaken, in D it would be the 1969 Mini
