I’ve noticed some missal Minis and and Celicas on the C class leader boards for some tracks, I was wondering, are they still FWD or RWD swapped? I tried to figure it out for a little bit but I don’t have much time at the moment so I figured I’d ask you guys, and just build it properly when I get some time.
The one that i run is a RWD. Its been about 2 months since i have driven the car but i think it still has top 20’s in some places. I should go back and rework it again with all that i have learned over the last 2 months and see what kind of damage it can do.
1.6L and FWD probably. Haven’t seen much benefit with RWD swapping so far.
I’ve been trying to get a rwd swapped srt4 to work and it is a pain to get hooked up. It is a stat queen but that’s about it. Had even worse luck with an mk2 with 1.6L and rwd. It drove better with fwd and same engine.
Yeah my RWD mini is a pain to handle but i havent tuned it for awhile so i should be able to get it to drive better. I would prolly say stay FWD but i feel like being difficult and tuning a RWD mini
Lol. Nothing wrong with that philosophy. Pretty much the same excuse I have with the srt4. It’s a challenge and a Frankenstein build. Must. Get. It. To. Work. Lol.
Not to get too far off subject, but I have a D class 09’ MINI that does really well in the lobbies. It’ll do really good at Prague Short/Reverse. It has the stock motor in it. I’m sure keeping the stock motor and upgrading to C class would keep the car competitive.
Dude I’m just creating conversation, that’s all. I was in a really friendly mood when I got home. Personally, I have little interest in said cars, but what news I do hear about non-Hondas that are not using the 1.6L swap (assuming it is available) is quite encouraging for other cars I do have an interest in.
But thanks for lumping me into the followers category. Appreciate it man. I mean I did post a thread trying to get an oddball (or at least I think it is based on what I’ve seen online) that surprisingly runs top 100s on several tracks some lovin on here, but that attempt seemed to have failed.
So assuming you actually tried to build it all ways available, you would have noticed this. One can assume, from your post, you just 1.6 swap and move on.
Fair perspective, though wrong assumption. Actually I can’t stand the motor and try my best to find other options. My only experience with the car was from my teammate torching me at bathurst with it. Needless to say the car dropped from my radar because i thought that was the only way to make it fast on non mega grip tracks.
I’ll chalk this up to internet misinterpretation talk. Been in lobbies with ya and know you’re a cool dude.
