RPM Swerve's Tunes (REVISED - Best C Class Buick GSX !NEW!)

Below I will be posting all of my tunes that I have shared. My goal is to post 1-2 tunes a day so check back frequently.

Tunes posted so far:

E class:
Escalade - Built for Lemans. Not the fastest but it sure does handle well.

Jeep Willys MB - turns on a dime. Not the fastest on the straight but kills it through corners.

C class:
Olds 442 - it’s back and I think it’s better than FM5. It’s just really really good.

Eagle talon - drives like butter with a fair amount of top end. It’s proven to be quite competitive online so far

69 trans am - just a well rounded muscle similar to olds. Competitive at most tracks

04 Honda Civic (tune file: v1) - All motor grip tune. This car isn’t meant for tracks with long straights. It’s perfect for shorter layouts and tracks like hockenheim/Sonoma.

04 Honda Civic (tune file: speed build) - Tuned for indy classic gp. Runs low 1:37s and maybe a 36 on killer laps. Very smooth. Won’t beat every 97 civic, but will beat many.

Mitsubishi Eclipse - smooth rider just like Eagle but this car seems to prefer medium tracks more

Ram Runner - speed tune and it’s pretty fast. It’ll take a few laps to learn where to not lose time in corners, but it handles better than you’d think. Good for laughs and the occasional win

Buick GSX (Daytona 24 hour) - no assist amazing tune for Daytona circuit. Feel free to drive it hard, the big beast can take it.

Buick GSX (Daytona infield) - the revised and faster version of the original tune, but harder to drive. DO not use 2nd gear.

B class:

BMW 1M - updated from the FM5 tuner challenge with tune adjustments recommended by Toffo, this car flat out flies. Retuned on Yas.

Olds 442 - tested extensively in lobbies and it never faltered against S2000s in the B class pinnacle division races. I thought it performed best at long beach.

A class:

BMW M1 - a toned down version of the FM5 version with added aero. I’ve raced this extensively online in A class and it was on par lap time wise with some serious high class hotlappers. Not a speed tune but flies around Indy.

Revised OP. Check out the Olds and Talon for C class lobbies. They both turned out really good I think.

I’ve picked out some of your cars and will let you know what I think when done.

C-class: Olds 442,Eagle talon,Both 04 Honda civic’s
B-class: Olds 442,BMW 1m.

I have driven the above cars with exception of the BMW 1m in rivals.

C-Class: Olds 442: I enjoyed this car a lot,I could place where I wanted to. I got it to 22nd on Indianapolis with 1:36.2. I did a dirty 1:35.9. I also got around 52nd on Brands hatch GP. Great car to drive.
04 grip honda civic: Also great to drive. I got to 38th on Sonoma with a 1:46.9. I didn’t get much feeling in the controller when braking with this car…No idea why that is. Took a while to get used to.
Eagle Talon: This car was super smooth and really easy to drive. Again though,I didn’t seem to get much feedback from the controller with this car either, both braking and accelerating. 04 Honda speed build: I took this car on Indy classic GP and raced your ghost. I couldn’t beat your ghost with this car. I think ( from memory ) you used a different Honda civic which seemed to have a little more power. It was still a good car to drive though, nothing bad about it. I also had trouble feeling the brakes with this car too.

B-Class: Olds 442: I loved driving this car,I had a blast in it. I loved flicking the car round certain corners by quickly applying full throttle, then accelerating away. I forgot to note any times down with this car,but I did take it to Long Beach. I had no problem with the lack of feeling in the brakes etc with this car or the C-Class Olds.

All great tunes, mate. Both the Olds cars were my pick out the one’s tested though. Good job.

Take care.

Wow thanks for the testing! Yea, on a few cars I don’t use race brakes which can be a challenge when you jump from a car that does have them. I know the eagle doesn’t have race brakes and that was to reduce the PI.

I used my 97 civic speed build on that indy track in league races. I wasn’t aware I set a new personal best. Lol.

I did learn that the C class Olds flys around CoTA and apparently it is good at rain tracks based on what I saw someone else do in the car. Lol.

Appreciate the honest feedback and the effort. You made my day!

Stop stealing my reviewer swerve lol. When he does a review he actually does a good breakdown positive or negative. I could us 100 more of him lol. Very nice cars and a good read!

Uh oh do i hear a trans am vs olds battle brewing lol.

Probably lol. I also have the 69 trans am built but I think the Olds is better.

Working on a 53 vetted that is stupid quick. Just can’t get the balance right.

Will certainly check them out Swerve, love your tunes.

Thanks bud! Good to see you back on forza.

Op updated for 69 trans am in C class.

After 2 years of hiding this car because I’m weird, I’ve finally decided to share it. It performs well just about everywhere. It’s not a high accel muscle car tune and more of a slightly grippy build. Enjoy!

OP updated for Honda 04 civic grip tune. This is an all motor easy to drive grip tune.

Still working on a power build for bigger tracks like Indy but it’s hard coming up with a tune/build that prevents excessive torque understeer on exit.

hey,do you have some Lobby racers build?
probably C & B class

All the ones listed above are for lobbies. Some set fast times on leaderboards, but that is only because the leaderboards aren’t filled yet.

Currently I’m focusing on C since the C class no collisions lobby is the best lobby for now. I’ll probably end up bumping the trans am and trying a few Mopars for B. Not sure when I’ll get those done though.

New to Forza and to this forum, Where do i find the set ups at ?

First, buy the car. At the main menu you’ll see tabs at the top. Go to the tab where you can upgrade/tune the car you’re currently in. Once on the tab, you’ll see a section where you can get tunes. Click that box and it’ll bring you to the tunes available for whatever car you’re currently in.

****Make sure to download and install any tune you choose. Apparently there is a bug where if you download and save and then install the tune later, the front suspension of the car will be untuned. This will cause the car to driver terribly. ****

From there you have options on how to search. My tune may show up first or may not. If not, you can search by creater (me) or class (what I do normally). The game is a bit clunky when it comes to searching and may take a few minutes to learn how to navigate the search options.

When searching, be mindful to look at the file description. At times you’ll find drift, wheelie, and drag tunes mixed in with the circuit tunes.

hey whats up Swerve!

I’ll check these out!

Thanks!

Oh just going home to tune! Haha

Thanks! Hopefully they work out well for you.

OP updated for a speed built 04 civic for C class. I am very very pleased with this one.

This car does have the supercharger and flies down the straights but also has plenty of handling to slice and dice you’re way through the lap. Should prove to be a good lobby car for higher speed tracks.

Currently I’ve run a clean 1:37.7 at indy gp classic and multiple dirty 37.3s. Should do a very high 36 for those fwd Honda aces.

Thanks for sharing
i will give it a go.
