For sentimental reasons I wanted to try the transit (the old one) but the two tunes I tried wanted to flip over, but I think the vehicle is the problem rather than the tune.
I will try it after World Cup final, but…
Sim or Normal steering? Cause there was a thing where sometimes cars were rolling on normal steering and on sim it was OK. Don’t know if that is still a thng after physics change.
Not given more than a couple of laps to each,so not exactly rigorous testing : WP seemed best of the Lancers, Rocklxd tune for one of the Scoobys was promising, but struggled with the jumps.Supra was ok,but pick of the bunch for me was the DeLorean.Did a 1.13 in it straight off the bat.
One for the masochists: Sierra RX3, got it into the 1.13s with more to spare, but you basically have to re-learn the track for it,and it’s tiring ![]()
Sim steering but it’s not that. It’s over the bumps and is front heavy and the nose dips so quickly that when it lands the back tries to go over the front killing all momentum. I’ll happily try anything you can come up with though.
My surprise Eclipse isn’t far off of that. I think I have hit a wall with it. It’s frustrating that a drift tap gives you a dirty time but oh well. The eclipse struggles coming off of low speed turns. Could be my gearing, weight or both…
I was looking for your time & realized I didn’t have you on my friends list; sorry about that. Added ![]()
Transit - almost 1200HP - M - low 1:14 - can’t tell if it can break into 13s + I hate the idea that I have over 1000HP AWD car in A class
, @AKAalpac with high rear downoforce it was trying to do backflip, but with final tune it was OKish, but wouldn’t recommend and don’t want to share it
Catherham - KapienPL tune - M - 1:10.3 (my current PB)- understeers a lot on road, not the easiest to drive, maybe will build my own with full aero
Alpine - VTEC - M - low 1:12 - felt really fast, sad that it was only 1:12
Eclipse - V8 - M+C - high 1:10 - need some work, oversteers a lot, with more stabile tune should do low 10s, @TonyKartRcr you are using rally or offroad race tires? I’m using for offroad race for any dirt/CC event
323 - VTEC - M+C - mid 1:11 - nice to drive, terrible gearbox
MX5 widebody - BMW - M - high 1:10 - chunky tires (255 at front), easiest one to drive, might share if anyone wants
EDIT: will need to try more builds → non-widebody version with almost max width front tires have 40HP more and 10kg less
Thought the Caterham did pretty well so decided to take some time to put a proper livery on it, with the “FM Rivals” logo of course. Code below for anyone interested.
SC: 289 298 419
I only was off-road tires. You got that eclipse moving! It definitely does over rotate in the corners which slows it down quite a bit. I have tried using full aero, up and down on the tire psi and arb settings.
1994 MX5 tune: “river10”, SC: 525 142 385
Probably not the best for auto, cause it will shift into 6th to early.
First corner I’m doing in 6th gear. For the uphill I use 5th and change to 6th mid-air. At second jump I downshift to 5th before I land.
Did clean 10.7. Car probably can do low 10s.

1:11.788 in the Caterham, has to be plenty more there if I can do that time with a horrible hangover + sporadic concentration.
Always struggled on this track though and it’s a nightmare with other players if one’s a wallrider.
No need to rub it in Gilles, considering my best time so far was flat sober w/no hangover & full concentration! ![]()
Tuning my own caterham for this and clocked 1:13.101 with it.
Not the easiest to tune this car, the rear seems to want to slide wide no matter what.
Being here for the tuning instead of using the fastest tunes may defeat the purpose of rivals, but I can honestly say it has given me much more insight to tuning over the past 2 weeks.
Update: My diffs were way too high, adjusted alignment for a better turn on the 90 degrees road corner and managed to break into 1:12.846
Tune:

Heh, I put up a real sweat chasing your ghost tonigh! Good job my Forza friend! You’re faster than me now….which isn’t saying much but wow, good job.

Ok, I’m having way too much fun with this already. I just went and deleted 40 tunes so I could add a whole bunch for this weeks rivals event. Lol. So here goes. Note, some will be car pass cars.
All tunes are called “A scramble” so search my gamer tag for them. I was having trouble getting my creative hub to display properly so can’t share codes for them right away;
1970 mercury cyclone spoiler. What’s so great about this car? NO LS3 6.2 V8 swap. Upgrading the car’s exhaust made the default engine sound like a V10 so i went with the viper motor. Pretty decent and fun car.
Time: 1:16.944. There’s more in this build, for sure.
2002 Acura RSX type S. This car surprised me. Highly recommend it for dirt trail races (like Baja). I was able to do a build/tune with 190 mph TS.
Time: 1:15.542. There’s a lot of potential here. Good car.
1982 Volkswagen pickup LX. Another day, another car/truck with the turbo rally swap. If you can manage the throttle control, it’s actually fairly quick around this track. Recommend full downforce on this one. With its light back end swinging out, those corner checkpoints become easier.
Time: 1:16.977. There’s way more potential here, with a better driver.
1994 Mazda MX-5. Sure enough Ziperr is correct. Nimble and fun around this track. Recommend full aero, tire width and NO body kit for this one. V-Tec is definitely the way to go.
Time: 1:14.508. Also trying @ziperrPL ‘s tune.
Edit: BMW 3.2 swap is also good for the MX-5. Not sure which one I like better.
@ziperrPL your RB kit + 3.2 swap was almost on par with my V-tec + no kit + full aero build. Got down to 1:14.341 with yours but could match it with mine.
Quite surprised actually. My tune was actually just as good as yours for once. ![]()
GG
For me it was best setup. I’ve probably tried all combos of heavy/light + VTEC/BMW/V8 + WB/non-WB. All of them AWD+full aero. And all of them was like +0,5sec slower than the one shared.
I did only couple of laps in each, so might have missed some good tune ![]()
Have you tried the Delorean yet?
Apart from Lotus and R500 it’s the only car i’ve tried that i can get into the 1.12s . Kapien tune
I beat ugrundy with his Caterham tune @ 1:12.856 with room for improvement. not sure if it can crack the 1:11’s but I’m gonna try.
I bounced between Sepi, Kapien, ugrundy, and my own builds yesterday. but this car is twitchy, and my controller settings are max responsive, so I prefer the ugrundy stability and turn-exit over the others.
not just saying that because he shared it for me:
