This is kind of a review on Forza5 so far and especially the 2.4hour events.
I bought Forza5 together with my Xbox-one at Day-One. On one hand side I was impressed by the graphics and the controller feedback, but disappointed, because of the small track pool and short races in single player. There are quite to many US-tracks especially since Road-America and Long Beach were added.
I was quite happy when finally the Nordschleife found its way back into Forza. Basically T10 did a grad work beside some details, what lead me to the 2.4h events.
On Both Events it was quite hard to find a Lobby where u could start in an adequate time. Some filters would have been nice, to not always land there where people just started a race.
The LeMans event had a good set of Race settings and Car classes, the one on the Nordschleife absolutely not. At first it was the wrong track layout, second no refueling or tire change needed, and most important, Class P, Are you kidding me??? Since there are still no GT3 cars in Forza5, class S and A would have been a much better choice. To get the badge for this Event was no fun at all and had absolutely nothing to do with the race on the same weekend beside the name of the track.
After all, please do it better next year.

The real life 24 hour race at Nurburgring is on the Nordschleife + gp track so they got the track right. Sim damage would not have worked there due to the lap length - too many opportunities for trolls to ruin a race by taking someone out too far from the pits. I agree that the car choice was strange for that event though.

i agree with you because of the cars at the 2.4 hopper at nürburgring. the highest fia clas which is allowd for racing at the nordschleife is gt2 class! LMP cars only race at the gp circuit (for example 1000 km race)
the layout was ok. normaly they do castrol s instead of mb area (or omega). this is because of the extraspace they need for paddoc (mini callange, historics, etc). and ther do dunlop curve an schumacher s for shure at the 24h race. only vln does the short layout of gp course… but they use the mb arena.
