I am a bit disappointed that I cannot choose the finish of the decal. I always go with a matte color and chrome decals in other games, but here, the decals have the same finish as the color. I would love to have this ability in this game too.
I agree. I love to mix matte and glossy finishes, especially in the same color like the black on the Hoonigan RS200 livery.
That’s been one of the top requests for a new feature in the paint booth for years. They know we want that … just have never put it in the games.
You have no idea how much I wish I could mix chrome with matte. At least I figured out I can mix chrome with carbon fiber by making my own carbon fiber vinyl and making use of masks. Masking is something that I am glad was added a few years back, at least that allows us to sort of use the “Special Paints” in our vinyls.
This would be awesome, but I think you need to post your request on the Forza Motorsport board. It seems PGG is not the place to go for any significant game engine improvements. The “new and improved” livery editor is pretty much just a bolt-on interface swap. There were dozens of ideas people posted for improving livery and vinyl creation, but they didn’t even do the easy ones. Uniform/non-uniform scaling of primitives is the only thing I can think of that might be characterized as a feature enhancement, and they even screwed that up.
no point in posting about it here, the wishlists are in the main section.
