Replaced disc with download from XBox Live

When I broke up with one girlfriend in 2012, she took my XBox along with my Forza Horizon disc. I bought a new XBox 360 and a new Forza Horizon disc (and several others). When I broke up with my next girlfriend, my Forza Horizon disc went missing. I wasn’t going to buy a 3rd disc. Recently, though, Forza Horizon went on deep discount in the XBox Live store, so I bought it online. Now, when I go to my games and try to play Forza Horizon, it tells me to insert the disc. When I go to recent downloads, Forza Horizon shows up, and I’m able to play it from there, but the garage I used to have is empty and all my add-ons are missing. And it’s a real pain to go through all the menus to get to recent downloads just to play one game. Does anyone know how I can transfer all my in-game content from the disc install to the XBox Live install, and then how to delete the disc install so I can play the game without getting asked to insert a disc?

Thanks!

Note “Xbox 360 Game” and “Installed Xbox 360 Game” by RichSPK, on Flickr

It seems unlikely that I’ll get any response from Turn 10. I’ll probably try deleting the “Installed Xbox 360 Game” and see what happens. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was just about to say…

If you go to System. > Storage. > Hard drive. > Games & Apps. > Forza Horizon, scroll down until to you see “Installed xbox 360 game”, delete that.

But the moral of the story - next time you break up with a girlfriend, make sure you have your xbox games safe! :stuck_out_tongue:

Thanks! I did delete the “installed” game and everything seems to have turned out well.

As for ex-girlfriends…I think I’m done buying games on disc. I’m still screwed if someone takes the console (or the hard drive dies), but swapping discs every time I want to play a different game is a pain in the butt anyway.
