I’m opening this post because I hope that clandestine races will be completely eliminated in future Forza Horizon games. The reason? It’s simply Forza Horizon, a festival of completely LEGAL races, so it makes no sense to include the Clandestine races that were requested years ago by a Community nostalgic for the “golden days” of Need For Speed. Enough is enough, in my opinion (and I hope so in yours) all of this makes no sense to exist. What would my solutions be?
Here they are:
The clandestine races are still Sprint races, so they could be replaced with completely legal Sprint races and transform ALL road races into “closed circuit” races, therefore with “laps”.
The second solution is to replace the clandestine races with large Sprint/Closed Circuit races, so with this context the Le Mans cars can be included, which in my opinion in a game like this it is MADNESS that they are not present. These are my ideas, what do you think?
New quests : Such as searching for monuments or animals typical of the area, perhaps indicated on the map with a circle of a different color as you have for the “forgotten jewels”
I strongly agree. Street Racing should be scrapped in FH6.
FH6 should focus more on sport side of the racing and slowly transitioning franchise to more serious iteration to promote sportsmanship, safe racing and true racing spirit in casual environment.
Disagree, street racing is a part of the car culture. Anyone who thinks it should be removed are thoughs that are not good at it. If thats your mind set, maybe they should remove drifting and Cross-country?
Racing with traffic is not allowed but doing the same thing in free roam is? You can still smash into traffic cars and mess up people’s yards. Might as well get rid of traffic altogether then?
No. Imo street racing should remain in Horizon but should be handled like in Horizon 3 where they clearly state it’s not approved by the Horizon Festival. In Horizon 5 they kind of do that too but less clearly. It seems less underground than in FH3.
I would keep it, but have crowds at corners and cars blocking the road. Make it a bit more ‘underground’. Have a starter person starting the race too. A bit NFS.
Make them day. Street racing in dark is stupid. The reason why it works in NFS, is because there’s so much illumination there, nights are as bright as day anyway.
Thicken traffic to point where “optimal racing line” is irrelevant, because it’s all about finding openings in traffic to avoid slowing down it its speed. Traffic should be integral part of pacing, not just Forza’s equivalent of Green Shell left in corner.
