Release dates

It’s starting to sound like it depends on where you bought it. Perhaps it’s Microsoft’s method of nudging people towards digital sales?

Sept 30 for U.S, Oct 2 for Aus, October 3 for the rest. I’m pretty sure.

Just how the release dates are, bad luck for the guys in Europe who have to wait until the 3rd.

Change region of console, play on Sept 30th?

Would that work? Doesn’t really matter for me since I’m buying from a store.

Guys, I know we’re all eager to play Horizon 2, but why is there such a fuss over a two or three day release date difference? If you don’t want to know all the secrets of the game and live outside of North America, just stay off the forums and social media for a few days. I can guarantee that it won’t ruin your week.

It’s more the fact that by the time we get the game the sharefront will be flooded with loads of basic paints, and our proper detailed paints won’t have a chance at being seen unless somebody lucks upon them during a search. Not exactly fair.

we had 1 of the FM titles before america had it previously so im not bothered about a few days,

although seeing this thread has made me realise i need to change my day off to the third as i was under some illusion it was released on the 2nd for uk
(checked when game is available from pre purchase on the store and its definitely 3rd for uk/me)

The people who create “proper” detailed paints would be shared a lot later regardless, since the basic paints take a lot less time to make - and therefore flood the sharefront anyway. If I were you, I’d just relax, get your designs properly detailed, and with a good description and quality work, the downloads will come. Especially if people like your work in previous games and will look for your designs - perhaps by checking your in-game photos.

If you paint for the fun of it, downloads will come. If you paint just to get quick downloads, then I don’t know what to tell you…

Yeah it’s 3rd for UK. It’s 2nd for Oz as they have a national holiday on the 3rd.

To be fair a lot of basic lets say not very nice paints got shared at the beginning of Forza 5 in hopes for quick money etc… Some of these paints still haven’t been taken off their number 1 spot by good looking paints. Bit of a shame.

Hi Guys,

I’ve a simple question as Title states.

As the UK release date is on the 3rd October, but the “official” release is the 30th September.

I’m assuming if I order on the Xbox store [I’m buying the Ultimate edition], then I will be able to play as soon as the game is “Officially Released”, however due to being in the UK, I don’t want to end up missing out on 3 days worth of playing.

Does anyone have any more info on this?

Thanks

You wont be able to play it until the third im afraid, it says in the games description on the store

If you live in the UK then the UK release date is the official release date for you. September 30th is the release date for North America.

I believe the game unlocks at midnight ( as per written in store) so in answer to your question, the 3rd for UK.

Very confused as to why a game developed & designed in the UK decided to release it there latest.

I’ve accepted it’s now fact. I would love anyone to explain WHY this happens. Especially limiting the digital availability. That makes no sense? The only thing I can think of is some form of Corporate Licensing or something?

I imagine it has something to do with games generally being released on Fridays in the UK. Whatever the reason, it’s only 3 days. Look at the bright side - you’ll probably live.
