Those times seem off. I’m somewhat rusty on timezones and the International Date Line and all that, but I still think the release times, unless it is a staggered launch and not an all-at-once launch, are incorrect.
For one thing, it’s ~ 5:20 AM Thursday in east coast Australia, so according to those guidelines, the game would be released there in about 10 hours. A 10-hour-later equivalency for me (EST, GMT -5) would be 1:20 AM Thursday (it’s still Wednesday for me today). The game would launch in Australia 23 hours earlier than it would for me. For people west of me, over a day earlier; east of me, not as early but still significantly early. Edit - It would actually be 28 hours earlier than me, if it is to be assumed it won’t be a midnight release for me, and the 5:00 AM release date is for EST.
Furthermore, if the game launched on Friday at midnight (00:00) GMT, and it was an all-at-once launch, then EST people (like me) would actually have it Thursday at 7:00 PM (19:00), Australians at 10:00 AM Friday (adjust accordingly to your preference).
In short - Microsoft’s timing is all messed up.
FH3 at least had a midnight on Friday for every country/timezone - a staggered launch. I honestly think that’s the best way to go.
Edit 2: Microsoft store is telling me that it would be a Friday at midnight launch for me. Using Gibraltar - English as GB time (I’m assuming? There’s no GB anywhere there), it says Thursday at 6:00 PM, which would be 1:00 PM for me tomorrow. So yeah, Microsoft is all messed up.
Thank god I’ve booked Friday off work, no chance I’d manage a 9-5:30 after a midnight launch
Seems to be a bit of a muddle some countries seem to be getting Local Midnight Start while others are not unless it’s by region (AU and NZ starting at same UTC time - I know some countries have multiple TZ’s )?

This time has been on the store site for a long time. I hope it is accurate and I can play tomorrow night. Pre Load was less than 2 hours and it was 67GB and then it changed to 95GB. Hope it all works out for everyone. Forza 7 has me excited.
The 67.03GB has been confirmed as the right size on the live stream… I don’t thing a reason has been why it has been changing to 95.6 GB and back again on some consoles… but it’s not really important anymore
So it looks like I’ll be good to go soon…
I Can’t decide between starting on the PC or Console but will try swapping before playing to much to make sure play anywhere/cross play is working…

Still seems to be some contradiction out there.
I am in New Zealand so theoretically, if it is a midnight release here I would imagine it would be the same elsewhere. We will be one of the first countries to see 29th Sept 00:00.01 so I will check at midnight and post on here.
Check the time in you local version of the store - when I was checking various round the world ones earlier in the thread I got …

Mine says 1:00am on Friday. I’m in Atlantic Canada.
My friend who’s from New Zealand is getting it the 29th at midnight and not the 28th.
I just did the ‘Chat’ thing with Microsoft Support.
I have preordered the standard verison and My Order on Microsoft.com/en-nz states the release date for that is 03/10. I asked if that was definitely 03/10 NZ time or if it was incorrect and should actually be 04/10 NZ, and she said it would be 04/10.
So, looks like their website takes no account of region even though it is going to en-nz.
NZ is first to see the sunrise, but not to see the Forza release! : )
They just said on the live stream 27 hours from now so it’s 2am UK I thought it was going to be midnight but 27 hours would make it 5am.
Check the MS Store or your Xbox. It will have the release time in your own timezone.
It’s midnight local worldwide, just go by that.
Coming up on noon in Sydney, so not long before we start seeing livestreams on Mixer and Twitch, and probably press reviews before that.
