“Now available for pre-order at your local Microsoft Store and microsoft.com, Forza Motorsport 7 arrives worldwide on October 3 exclusively on the Xbox One family of devices and Windows 10 PCs via Xbox Play Anywhere. Special editions include the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions, complete with exclusive, digital-only bonus content, VIP membership, and access to the Day One Car Pack. In addition, Ultimate Edition owners will receive early access to the game on September 29 and the Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass that gives you access to upcoming car packs.”
Dates:
September 29, 2017 - Early Access for Ultimate Edition owners
October 3, 2017 - Standard/Deluxe editions (Xbox One and One S)
November 7, 2017 - Xbox One X console release
Times:
If the pattern follows FH3, the Store for U.S. time zones will indicate midnight Eastern time, and international zones will indicated midnight local time; FH3 was released midnight local time^ so Australia got it first, then Europe, then East coast U.S., then West cost U.S. etc.
OK a bit confused
the links for amazon and Best Buy are only for standard . Microsofts site only lists 2 versions. Ultimate is 80 now and not 100 US? 80 for early release, car pass, VIP ect?
What I was wondering was if I buy the ultimate edition on the One then buy the One X will I be able to just redownload the game or will it want me to purchase it all over again?
Anything you purchase/download for the Xbox (irrelevant of model) sits in Microsofts ‘cloud’ on a new device just go to my games click on the relative game and it will play albeit with possible downloads, updates etc.
Well, that would be great.
I own an XBox One, but won’t buy the XBox One X right from the start, because 499 EUR is just too much.
So the question is: When I buy Forza 7, it will run on XBox One. When I got the XBox One X a few months later, will I get an “Upgrade” for Forza 7 containing 4K and HDR?
From the link above: … Xbox also revealed that Gears of War 4, Forza Horizon 3, Minecraft, Resident Evil 7, Final Fantasy 15, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Rocket League and dozens of other popular Xbox One games will receive free updates to take full advantage of the power of Xbox One X. A host of these titles will be enhanced to run in true 4K, and many will be available at Xbox One X launch.
That seems like there will be an XBox One X/4K HDR-Update for free (?).
As of June 12th, Windows Store currently shows (for me):
Ultimate: “Available on 9/29/2017 12:00:00 AM”
Standard: “Available on 10/3/2017 1:00:00 PM”
For Horizon 3, Early Access was a rolling release (midnight local time).
For Horizon 3, standard release was the same moment for everyone (9pm Pacific).
Since I’m Eastern time, I’m guessing the 1pm time above is the same as typical DLC release time - 10am Pacific. If I recall though, the Store info changed before release, so keep an eye on it especially near release day.
I just put in my preorder for the Ultimate Edition of FM7. According to the Xbox store, I’ll get to play on 9/28/2017 at 11:00:00 PM. I live in Central time zone (US), so my guess is that it’s based on Midnight Eastern time for that to be the case.
So I know that the digital version of FM7 will gain early access to the standard version of the game, but one thing I’m unsure about is if the physical copy of the game will be given the same treatment. I was hoping someone would possibly shed some light on this for me.
Don’t forget even the physical version will more than likely require a heft download before you can play - I never trust the Start playing now feature which sometimes pops up during the installation…
I guess you wont get the physically copy before the 29th September?
I’m hoping that the Download period will start well before the early access date I had to go digital as I need Play Anywhere…
I’ve bought the FM7 Deluxe Edition, in hopes to play Forza 7 early but when I open the game, it tells me that I “can’t play it just yet”. If there’s an early access, how can I play the early access?
