Some good info. Thanks for the post, Max.

Had to chuckle:

Wants base to grow, withholds features that would make base grow.

So wait a second; not only are there very few new cars and tracks but several of the features that were touted as “coming back to Forza!” (i.e. The Auction House) Aren’t even going to be available when the game relases?! Wow. Just wow.

I understand holding back Leagues and Forzathon. Lots of new PC players will be playing Forza for the first time. So in order to let people get the game and get familiar with it, holding those features back a few weeks is a good move.

No idea why that extends to the Auction House though.

The holding back of certain features just hits the nail on coffin for me as to not get this game right now. I might even wait until next summer when the car pass is up and all updates are done. This game is so lopsided and incomplete it’s not even funny.

I feel bad for people who preordered this game. Can somebody from Turn 10 explain how it is at all ok that they’ve been advertising the addition of Forzathon, Auction House, and a supposedly revamped League system (with absolutely no details) to entice people to preorder…and now a couple weeks before release it’s revealed that these features won’t even be present on release? This is absolutely ridiculous. As someone who has put an obscene number of hours into Forza 6 and was planning to buy this game despite the absolutely abysmal PR and lack of brand new content, I am at a loss for words.

To be honest, it’s better for people that they are holding things like Forzathon back. It gives more people a chance to get the game and not miss out on events in the first few weeks of release, as well as more people a chance to create liverys to put in the AH.

Don’t feel bad for me. I can’t wait to play the new game and new campaign. Just trying to get wheel ready in time. Hoping to have both a wheel setup config and a controller config for when I don’t have time to use the wheel. That’s my biggest stressor when it comes to launch day. That post made me more anxious to play not less knowing there’s more content to come.

lol 50 gb update even with physical copy? time to cancel preorder,at least they told us but I don’t understand how they expect people to manage that, seriously should of packaged it with a 2nd disc, shame…

They either give us more features, which will take up more space, or they give us less and have it all fit on disc. Can’t have it both ways. There are many games out now that are 50+ gigs. It’s not unusual.

I dont have a problem with the install size just that update, people buy physical copies for a reason, cause their internet is **** lol,fm4 came with 2 discs, perhaps they are trying to cut costs this time around but expecting people to pay 60-100$ for a fraction of a game is a bit ludicrous imo,

Let me see if I understand you. You’re going to cancel the game because you have to download some content once you get the game installed. So you really don’t care that much about playing the game or what the game has to offer. The fact that it doesn’t ship with everything in the package means you’re not going to buy it? Not even sure why someone this easily dismayed would even consider to pre-order in the first place.

For what it’s worth, I would say nearly every game I have bought in the last few years has had a day one patch to fix issues or to add content, and some of them are also enormous. I understand if you have a slow internet connection and it’s frustrating. But to completely decide not to keep the game means you really didn’t care that much about the game in the first place. Additionally if you carefully read the details, it said that you would be able to play the entire first playthrough of the career without needing the other content. So unless you’re planning on doing that in one night, which I’m going to say is 100% impossible, you could download the content at a later point in time.

Can’t believe it took you this long to find a bogus reason to cancel your pre-order. The forum has been full of posts with people claiming they were going to cancel for much more genuine complaints.

I agree with everything KKDURAZZ said exept he would not have to play the entire career in one night to have to wait for the download. He would just have to complete the career before the update was completed and that could in some cases take a day or 2. He may complete the career by then, if extremely relentless, and then have to wait for the download to continue…still 99% impossible though😃

dont get me wrong i’d still love to buy this game but when your only source of internet a 3g phone,1-2 mbs 10gb a month limit what other choice do i have?[you can rag on this all you want but it has gotten me to 2017 without a problem] 45gb updates just aren’t feasable for some people, career mode doesnt interest me,I mainly buy forzas for rivals and auction house,2 sections that require the game to be up to date,i understand there will be day one patches, but when has there ever been a game that expects you to dl the other half for a full experience when buying physical?I don’t think there have been any…

I got the game and it is only 62 (or 67) GB

Just 2weeks… Can’t wait…

I was about to preorder digital deluxe tonight, but after reading this I’ll just wait until a sale on Black Friday or something like that. What a shame, this game seems like Forza 6 with a graphical patch and maybe some tracks. No real effort put in from the looks of things so far.

Sure… Before Reading that news it was a total different game, that’s why you are going to not preorder…
Silly statement…

I can understand holding back Forzathon, but the rest of them? Sounds more to me like they’re not finished being made.

Which is why he suggested packaging a second disc in. FM4, and I believe the complete edition type version of FM3 came on two discs, so it’s not unheard of.
