I’m not saying it’s not unheard of, but it probably has something to do with production costs. At the time of FM3 Complete and FM4 it was probably cheaper to produce DVDs than it is to produce Blu-Rays now.
And with the way the gaming industry is moving towards digital content, do you really blame them for trying to save some production costs and not make a second disc?

i think it means that they delay some stuff to start couse the didnt have much preorder to have a " big community " at the day one…
Except that is complete speculation with absolutely zero factual backed up information. No one knows exactly why they are doing this except the developers themselves. And if they don’t say why, throwing random guesses at the wall is a complete waste of time.
Of course, those of you that have been negative this whole time will do that; because somehow you find entertainment in picking apart what’s going to be an undeniably terrific product. We’ll see you back here in a few weeks when everything is amazingly doing well. And I’ll welcome those of you back that have completely lied, saying you were canceling your pre-orders. When we know you’re just being grumpy and want attention. We’ll dig up your old whiny posts, and ‘cheers’ them together, that’ll be equally entertaining.

Lol, slow your roll fanboy. I wrote my opinion on the information given, just like youre entitled to your own. Going by the info available turn 10 feels as though its not worth enabling these features at launch, choosing to wait a few weeks, these are their words, these are the facts. So that pretty much means the preorder numbers are not high enough to support these features at launch which is why they are waiting. Sorry i hurt your feeling with my informed opinion.

How about some information about the day 1 car pack?
I was planning on ordering the regular edition and the car pass, but if the day 1 pack is good I might as well order the ultimate edition and get the VIP for free.
If they don’t say why, then throwing random guesses at the wall is all the playerbase can do. If they don’t want wild speculation, cynical negativity, and as a result, the bickering on the forums that comes with their approach to addressing the community, then they can change it.
PS: It would be difficult for you to find a way to sound like more of a fanboy than you did with that last paragraph.

Do we know yet if the 4K update will be pushed to non-X owners? It reads like it might just be for One X owners with that last sentence. Stil, that 50GB Day 1 update is already giving me second thoughts, RIP bandwidth cap…

No. This has been explained multiple times by XBox devs. If you’re playing on an original One or a One S, you won’t ever download the One X 4K assets and enhancements. Those will always only be downloaded on the One X … for all games.
But there might be an option to download the 4K content to the older X Box Ones to allow you to transfer it to the Xbox One X over your local network when you get it rather than having to download it from the internet…

That’s true … they did mention that. I would expect that to be a download that we would be able to select on our own and choose when to download instead of having it pushed to everyone automatically though. Thanks for reminding me about that option.

Can someone confirm this? The disc version is 45gb + a Day 1 50gb download but what about the digital version? Will we still have to download 50gb on the 29th or will we already have that once pre-loading starts? My internet is **** and will take me all day if I have to wait until the 29th.

This is messed up. They have time to move to a new office two months before release but don’t finish the game in time? That’s just disrespectful of your community. Here’s an idea, don’t have a marketing campaign around Forzathons or Auction House if you can’t make it.
Reading this I will not be surprised to have those features on the day Xbox One X launches. Gotta keep that marketing campaign rolling until then.
Will Forza 7 feature DLC plus tokens plus loot crates? I wonder which of these important features make the cut on launch day. I know the answer: All of them.

It doesn’t sound like the game is necessarily unfinished. It sounds like they may have the features ready to go but are rolling them out according to their own timetable.

Sounds more like they didn’t hit their pre-order target (they sure didn’t waste a single dollar with that ad campaign) and so they’re focusing else where. DLC car horns probably.
Also that’s an interesting Hoonigan video. Does that mean we’re getting the “new” Twerkstallion in FM7 or are we still stuck with the now outdated one from FH3?
