It also probably launches reliably.
Launches reliable and much faster. They keep adding fresh things called “races”. And new tracks. One big drawback is there no bugs like FH5.
crap pc performance for me , car upgrades drop afer the race in a nfs payback style and then say there’s a street race event on the map but it turns out its just an event where you do some jumps and knock down some generic looking boxes while the voiceover speaking cringe to you " Oh no the paint" , “That Jump was insane”, “Oh what a drift” then again " Oh no the paint"… I dont see it being any different to horizon’s voice over if not worse.
It doesn’t compare to Horizon because they are two total different games. In terms of the expanse of the game and the depth.
Shortfalls of TC2 is the ability to modify and build your cars with the depth allowed in the Forza franchise.
I don’t find the physics of the two games to be that far apart game wise. Failings of horizon physics is the crashing through everything with wreckless abandon and the lack of friction coefficients values between various surfaces. Where TC2 has better friction coefficients values between surface changes. But neither game does well with the friction coefficients on ice or snow. TC2 has far better frictional reality going from tarmac to grass to sand to gravel. Where FH5 has almost no difference in feeling. And TC2 does sand really well.
But the failing of the physics logic of all the video games is that people try to equate it to real world physics. But the reality is that in the real world, a car subjected to the physics of a video game would be destroyed in about two minutes. Or less.
So in some respects, TC2 has better physics than FH5, while in some respects, FH5 has better physics than TC2.
In the game physics, I’d give the games a wash.
In the depth of play, I’d give FH5 the edge.
In the quality of game build and support, TC2 wins by 110% over the entire forza franchise.
I mostly agree, but while Horizon’s menus aren’t confusing anymore, they are still overcluttered and poorly designed.
So should i start playing the crew or not Im still not convinced
If you can get it on sale why not?
Valid point
I would still play forza but i just dont want to waste money on a game i could wait on till it hits game pass.
I just picked it up for 90% off the other day. Honestly cant stop playing. Its a game where you can progress no matter how you feel like playing. And any cars that are also in motorfest can be carried over to a new file when it releases
One major flaw with TC2 is it give you (almost) no direction. So theres multiple things that you might never learn even playing the game for hours or days. For example i keep unlocking emotes but i have no bloody clue how to change my emotes but also dont care enough to find out. But im sure theres people that dont know you can tune the setting of things like front and rear tyre grips, arbs, springs, etc. Because its hidden away in a menu inside of a menu, inside of a menu. The game never tells you about it through progression and its an awkward roundabout way to get to something so fundamental of a racing game.
Alright something to look into i could use a change a of scenery from time to time
@Banjacked8153 , if you take the issues out of FH5 you ain’t got much left.
@Foreman81 , I’ve played with the advanced controller setup a bit and greatly improved the car handling at higher levels.
Improved? Yes. At its best? Hardly. The car selection options being four tabs over from the main one is proof enough of that.
Let’s face it, the menus in all the racing games could be much better.
I’m also getting access to the Motorfest closed beta today. Will be interested to hear your thoughts. I’m mainly looking at the physics for improvement as that, for me, was the biggest let down in The Crew 2.
Ive tried so many times to play the crew 2 and it just runs soo poorly even tho i have a decent pc . The last time i decided to pull up the metrics and saw my gpu being utilized only 30-50 % by the game. I definetely dont have a cpu bootleneck and i was running it with vsync off.
Since motorfest scaled down the map i’m fairly positive that the game is gonna be so much better when it comes to performance. And i think in a few other ways as well.
So how it is ?
I’ll be home from work in a few hours so i’ll see if i can get it to run
Series X and Crew Motorfest is running perfectly. I’m liking it so far, driving physics are definitely better than Crew 2.
