Hi, I’m not writing in my native language, and I don’t know where else I can write this. I’m begging you to add a ranked online mode to the 6th part, as it was in the 4th part. Seasonal races are completed in one evening, and it gets boring just to play online. We need motivation. You have a large number of players, please don’t lose them. Add a ranked mode that will keep us in the game. I hope someone sees this.
Horizon will never see ranked mode again.
It has become too casual-focused.

They accidentally hit upon a winning formula in FH4 with ranked play but rather than cultivate it and improve it, they let it die. Now the multiplayer doesn’t even keep track of your race wins in your stats (as far as I can tell) except for temporary seasonal leaderboards. Nor does multiplayer even show other players your horizon play level. It’s all barebones, minimal effort, uninspired.

Torben actually said its under review but they are watching the standard with the stuff they’ve already got. Now I don’t fancy our chances in gettin’ ranked play regardless. But he did say that.
I think the devs’ lack of interest in adding a ranked mode is probably caused by how many problems they’d have to solve to make it actually work properly in the game. You’d need proper balancing for cars and upgrades, an effective system for detecting exploits and cheating, monthly bans for cheaters, and then even more balancing every time new cars get added. And the cycle would just keep going endlessly.
Truth! It became really toxic too with the cutthroats doing anything to win. You know I can’t even see how many hours I have in the online racing in this game but I can see a full breakdown of hide n seek and eliminator.

You can pay for cars with real money.
And some of the really expensive cars are super broken.
