I have to admit, I’m not very enthused about the state of this game right now, and from the little bit we know about this new update, I’m not seeing a positive shift coming. Facts are facts - content wise, there are mobile games that are raking this one over the coals; there’s one I’m playing right now (because that’s what things have come to) that has serious potential on tap, and if the developers ever decide to tamp down the really annoying F2P mechanics, the game could become a real contender down the road.
Hook, line and sinker…
Laugh it up. I already know they aren’t going to do that (it’s an EA-published game, for one thing). But I stand by my point - underneath all of the distasteful F2P nonsense are the fundamentals of a decent racing game. Without straying too far off topic, it’s a game that feels too advanced to be on mobile phones and tablets, yet isn’t quite ready for consoles and/or PC. My point is if they were to take that game and scale it up and refine it for console markets, it would catch eyeballs and could end up being an issue for the Forza franchise as a whole; maybe not a big issue, but enough to keep them on their toes.
I swear they’re out to lunch at this point.
Two of the reward cars for Series 11 are a Chinese EV and the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.
The good news is, they’re making the 300 SLR available outside of the Playlist, in the autoshow.
The bad news? FOR 143,000,000 CREDITS.
What are they doing over there?
So much for a racing heritage themed month, huh? Only two cars that apply to the theme (and recycled, even though I’m happy to see them back). Happy that the M3 GTS is back, but again, why did they bother recycling it? Just add it to the game from the get-go.
I also always knew the pig-nosed Beemers would come eventually, so it was unfortunately inevitable. In addition, yet another stupid EV and, to top it all off, it’s also Chinese. I’m pretty convinced that a certain party has stock in Playground Games at this point.
Because that’s what it recently sold for at an auction making it the world’s most expensive car
The rival heads gonna love this update! Others will love the stock trials coming back!!
I’m frustrated af! All I want to see are some Mexican cars in a game set in Mexico, like the Dacia Duster, Toyota Hiace, Suzuki Swift, Honda City, Nissan NP300. Heck the tuning scene even has a new old Sentra, called the Nissan Tsuru.
If they had an interest in south American drag racing you would see many cars like the popular VW Gol
Or newer sports cars like the Mastretta MXT.
Heck I would even settle for a Maserati Mexico.
Disappointed with the PR stunts and season championship prizes.
The cars available on Autoshow that they give us that are inexpensive and mundane have not changed since the release of FH5, but the next season’s prizes are especially bad.
Chevy 150, Impala, Volvo 242, Volvo 850…many cars that can be bought inexpensively and that no one would buy if they were listed on the AH.
There are already dozens of exclusive cars in this game. And there are many more expensive cars on Autoshow.
Hey PGG, is it so hard for you guys to improve these events to “events we want to attend for prizes” instead of “just a chore for points”?
I also disliked the FH4 playlist, but still, that one gave us better prizes more often and provided us with positive reasons to play those events.
As for the newly added cars… no problem except that the only car that seems to be based on this theme is the SLR.
Both XPeng and BMW are completely new models. It’s great to see two non-variant cars being added.
I have been waiting for Legacy as well. It would have been even more wonderful if it had been in the game since launch.
Did they just say we’re getting 2 new bodykits? For which cars are those? And what? LB? Or Forza kits?
So, as a way to “honor” that, they spit in the face of everyone whose been requesting that these cars get added to the autoshow. Impressive.
In response to a community request, what is envisioned by the term “adding two new body kits” would be Rocket Bunny/Pandem?
If 2 indicates the number of brands rather than the number of body kits being added, then this interpretation would hold.
Or Liberty Walk’s R34/S15 Silhouette?
Both of these bodykits have recently been the talk of the internet and have had their fair share of requests from the community.
It’s probably going to be only two bodykits. I would very much hope to be wrong here but at least they are finally finally adding new customization to existing cars after all this time. Please let this trend continue! A slow start is better than no start.
Yeah. I didn’t expect them to retroactively add kits. Give us one for the Type 2!
There’s going to be some fairly annoyed people once it’s known that you have to pay 140 million or get 160 points in the playlist to get the 300 SLR.
Really, I’m not sure what’s worse at this point. At least with actual F2P games that employ those kinds of scummy mechanics, they’re plainly upfront about it. You know when you pick it up that you’re in for some grindy nonsense. And if you choose to play, you do so because you made that decision.
And then you have this game. A game that people paid money for and play because they don’t have the patience for the usual F2P garbage. And here goes PGG, forcibly subjecting everyone to that garbage anyway. It’s appalling, really.
better 160points rewards is what many people asked for
I like the car and I like the fact its not that easy to get.
At the end its a reason to do more playliststuff instead of having no reason to get 160 points…
