First of can I apologise if this is posted in the wrong section. I’m looking for a wheel for forza seen a few on eBay for £239.99 thrust master tx458, I have also seen this one
What is the main difference and what are other peoples thoughts on the wheels, do
They improve the game?? Thanks
don’t buy a TX wheel from Ebay, thrustmaster will not usually honour a warranty for a product purchased from an auction site; as it is effectively a second hand product. Spend an extra £10 and buy it new from Amazon. As for the second one you mentioned (TM 458 Spider wheel), it is only a very basic wheel.
As for improving the game, it all depends on the person. Some people buy a wheel and hate it, others love using them. There is often a big learning curve as well, but that again also depends on the individual using it; as well as any past experience in using racing wheels for video games.
I would say go for the Thrustmaster TX personally, thrustmaster are just about to release a new set of pedals with a clutch; and within the next 3 months a H-pattern shifter should also be released specifically for the TX wheel (not to be confused with the TH8RS shifter, as that is a USB stand alone device for use on PC and PS3). Also there is an F1 wheel rim addon and GTE wheel rim addon that work on the TX, they was originally made for the T500RS wheel; but TM have allowed them to be used on the TX as well. The TX is also useable on PC, and I currently use it with the following list of pc games.
Assetto Corsa
Project Cars
RaceRoom Racing Experiance
Dirt 2/3/showdown
Grid 2
F1 2013
Iracing
Simraceway
WRC 4
