Racing wheel issues

Hello, I own a Thrustmaster TX1 racing wheel, and after downloading the new free august update, my wheel has been having issues. The Forcefeedback feels like it’s dropped 50%, even though in the menu’s it says it’s at 100%. The wheel rotation doesn’t seem like it’s synched up all the way, and the braking deadzone seems to have increased, even though I always keep mine at 10%.

Is anyone else having similar problems and does anyone know of a solution?

Thanks!

Did you plug the wheel in before you started your xbox? Try unplugging the xbox for a couple of minutes and plug the wheel in before you power it on. Also don’t press any of the pedals or buttons on the wheel while the game is loading.

@sweendogie: i just tried that, and now when I plug the wheel into the Xbox, the wheel starts the calibration, but the Xbox One doesn’t turn on, and when the wheel turns off after calibrating.

The update did change the FFB protocol in game. It’s more consistent, hence the weaker feel you are experiencing. I used to run around 60 before now Im running higher(around 75 for now). Personally I think its much better now.
As far as the rotation goes; I haven’t noticed, but maybe something changed there as well. The only thing I noticed is that it has better center spring damping.

@Nelor: I did notice that, though like I said, I race at 100% FFB and the game nolonger feels the same because of it. It’s extremly bizzare, and hopefully there’s a way to fix this.

I think the update dailed the FFB strength down. I increased what I used to run before because it felt to weak, so naturally if you ran 100 before its gonna feel weaker to you as well.
On a side note 100 FFB? wasn’t that a little strong lol😎
Oh did you do the TX wheel firmware update from a couple weeks ago?

@Nelor: If that’s the case then that stinks! I loved the strong resistance, it made me feel like i was actually driving the car! In some cases, such as drifting, I did turn the FFB down, but not a lot. I did get the new firmware update a few days after it was released.
I’m having problems with the wheel turning on now, after trying out sweendogie’s advice, which didn’t work. It made things worse. The wheel won’t even turn on now! :X Any advice?

Hmm, aside from unplugging both power, usb and maybe a hard reset on your xbone, I don’t know what else to try. Hopfully your wheel is ok.

@Nelor: Yeah, I honestly don’t know what’s wrong with it. It’s not like it’s old or anything, I got it about a month and a half ago. I just tried a hard reset and it seems to be working. The sensitivity seems to have gone up, but i’m sure i can get used to that. Thanks!

Did you know about the center linearity settings?
Mode plus paddle shift up/down

1 to 4 green flashes, you can run higher for less sensitivity at center.
