Racing online - what car you choose

Right now I choose cars by what I need affinity with. Once I complete an affinity I shelve the car until I’m done with this project. I have less that 20 to go. This project has broadened my horizons by introducing me to some really fun cars I would never have considered and also by showing me which cars are just plain bad. When I’m in a car I race it on every track, normally with the same tune. As I have so many cars I don’t have the save space for multiple tunes for each car (fix ithis pls T10).

It’s been fun at time and unfun at other times. Currently I’m busy not enjoying the Ultima. I’m not a great driver and mid-engine cars give me fits.

if you got the ariel atom and hennesy venom to level 25 good job. i doubt i’m gonna have that much patience.

And Bugatti as well. They were not fun. Well the atom wasn’t bad once I got Stella Stig’s tune. Keeping the caterham in A class was decent. The venom and bugatti were just monsters.

I race based on what affinity I am closest to 25. Therefore its kia at the moment mixed in with Nissan whenever I get tired of looking at that ugly thing.

I could care less if I DNF almost all the field if I’m having fun driving the car. Its rare for me to choose lesser cars based on skill level being low. Usually i’ll just leave after a few races or stay until a track I don’t care for comes up.

I just race whatever I feel like racing, usually it’s something I’m working on, just finished or one of my affinity’s or maybe even something just random that I see as I scroll through my garage.

I only have one rule for myself in car selection. Never drive the same car twice in a session.

I use this rule a lot too

I don’t use this as a strict rule but change my cars often anyway.

Main time it doesn’t happen is if I try an oddball, like it and decide to keep going.

C1 Corvette in C class has had a couple of long sessions.

I’ll pick a slower car if I’m winning too easily and if someone pops in that’s fast I ramp it up. If someone good dooshes up a lobby by picking a leaderboard car when they don’t need one I just leave.

Yep, this is what I’m talking about. I have a lot of respect for people entering a lobby with a leaderboard car, realise no one else is using one and then promptly changes to a car to match the lobby. The biggest annoyance is when they choose their leaderboard car during the countdown so it’s too late for anyone to react.

I switch manufacturers when I hit level 25 but for A class, I mostly run with Mercs atm, they aren’t the fastest but they are brutes and fun to use, I will break out an F50 if needed though.

GT lobbies rule.

I’m no expert tuner but I still do build cars to tracks to an extent. So I switch the 'Cuda I just used at Road America for the M1 when Catalunya comes up.

I have my old standbys that have hours of test drive/tune time in them. But I did not buy the game to run a handful of cars. I like to test out my latest tunes in both rivals and online especially after a car pack comes out. I find with the correct tune for car and track, I can medal enough to make me happy.

I never run LB cars, that’s about it. If the lobby is super rough, I normally bring out an AWD car though. Other than that, whatever I feel like running at the track.

You don’t need to, lol. I wish I had time to do 360’s and still win the race  Yes I have been looking at your YouTube vids.

Im alway building and testing new setup. Most are leaderboard car. … but in C class just about every thing is.

I stopped caring about being competitive in multiplayer, Now I just drive what I like and see who I can beat with that.

The car I use most common is the 2009 MINI John Cooper Works, because that’s what I drive in real life and I enjoy being able to take the digital version of my car around tracks that I could never visit in real life.

When I’m not in my MINI though I’ll just cycle through the list of what’s available. I don’t enjoy Forza as a racing game, but rather as a driving game. I would prefer to come last in a car I enjoyed driving over winning in a car that I didn’t.

I love the Lexus LFA too much to not drive it. Tuned and raced a non-aero LFA in FM4 and now FM5. It’s always fun challenging in a non-LB car for me personally

I race what i have decided to tune and go for laptime during the race.

Presently its an A class Aston and a TVR and while i do win most races handily its not only about winning the race. Its just as important for me to see how fast i can push myself up the A class leader board under race conditions doing clean laps.

I have no xbows or f50s for Forza 5 but i do not judge because frankly you have tons of people who jump into said cars and get royally smoked and you never know who the hell is going to rock into a chevy nova and own your ass like you haven’t even pressed the gas pedal (Depending on the track of course).

I’ve been on both sides of the fence and frankly I’ve cut my teeth in an F50 on forza 4 before i started to tune other cars so i really cannot judge.

Ive also noticed that i have low patience for people who will crash you on a straight if they are getting passed … and that happens alot in the mid and back of the pack…So i would rather take my best car for that track and quickly make my way to the front rather than stay in the back and get really pissed off by people who intentionally crash into you when you’re passing them fair and square.
