Personally…let me get something straight.I have never heard a R34 GTR anywhere other than youtube videos.From videos I noticed something that the R34 sounds a bit different from one and another…due to different exhausts.
I have seen many complaints regarding the sound of the R34.But I think a bone stock out of the factory R34 would sound exactly like the one in the game.This is just my opinion.Only complaint from my side is the turbo spooling sound which can be heard only in hood cam…

It’s not that it is a bad straight six sound, in fact it is a great one, but one that is a good recreation of how a Supra is supposed to sound and that is where our criticism is. The sound of the r34 you hear is shared exactly that way with the M4 and the Supra. I, too, know their sounds from videos and let’s be honest, this not how a r34 is supposed to sound and by FAR not how a M4 is supposed to sound.
Just look up how the M4 sounds in Forza Horizon2, compare that to Forza Horizon 3 and then look up some videos of it in real life…It’s a great noise, but not a M4 noise.
Inside the car view…u can hear everything differently comparing the supra,r34 and m4…try cockpit view.
I’m always using the cockpit view.
me 2… always sound the same.
They do sound similar but not the same…for example during shifting…sound are entirely different…
M4, R34, S14, Supra… all share the same sample.
Aventador and Centenario share the same sample.
Even the 2016 Ford GT and new NSX sound almost the same.
The Huracan and R10 S sound the same and not remotely close to their actual sound, which isn’t the case in FM6 or H2.
They really did a number on us with the sound. Very VERY disappointed.

After hearing all the sounds…I do agree all the cars do sound very similar…but it is the other way round …the sound of the rb26 is absolutely correct…they copied this rb26 for m4 and the supra…the supra sounds like have a rb26 and not a 2jz…I compared the game sound of the Skyline with YouTube video…I know for many it’s a disappointment…but for me the sound of the Skyline is spot on…I drive that far all time and I don’t even get bored by the sound…
With all due respect, you should hear the engine and exhaust on a real Skyline R34… possibly drive it if you can. They completely missed the mark on the sound. One sound sample copied/pasted across multiple cars. What a shame.
According to to me…a stock exhaust Skyline should sound like this…of course I can’t drive as I am just 17…but I am really sure they got the sound right for the Skyline…no offence…this is just my view…in YouTube there are many skylines with different exhausts…so they sound different from each other…
Try to hear one IRL speeding… going through the rev ranges etc. They had the sound consistent between FM 2 and 6 (including H1 and 2), making improvements in small increments.
I’m not only a car nut at heart but been playing their games since FM2. They have massacred several car sounds in H3, and the R34 is one of them.

Totally agree. Been playing since FM2 as well and even though I would say that overall cars do sound better than FM6, there are a lot of cars that are just either wrong or have the sound shared in FH3.

The only reason i signed in was to complain about the sound of supra and skyline r34 gtr…when i saw the release trailer pre ordered tha game for€100 because i was so satisfied from fh2…the supra and r34 sound the same as the m4 witch is no good…the 2jz-gte and rb26-dett have different sound…the sound in fh2 was so much realistic… PLEASE bring the sound files back… I’m not asking much…great game though
Being someone who has a friend who just so happens to own a Supra and a 560hp R34 GTR, I can say that the sound in-game is exactly that of a Supra. It is nowhere near the sound of an RB26DETT, let alone a damn M4. Very, very disappointed with this…
Yeah, we had a discussion at length on the thread titled “valiant sound”, where JONK and Nitro Glitter from the T10 community also chimed in. Unfortunately, this is not getting fixed.

The sounds in the FH games have always been very disappointing compared to FM games. Strange considering it’s the same guys working on them.
Not quite - the PG guys have their own formula for recreating car sounds in the game. They do, however, borrow T10’s assets, which is why you’ll either hear some of the cars form FM6 with the exact same sounds, some slightly improved (oh boy, the SLS!) and some worse.
FM6 for me is the benchmark. Superb car sounds all in all.
