To each their own. Everyone should respect my preferences even though they may not align with yours… please keep that in mind when reading this.
I will not be buying this game until public drift lobbies become available. Private drift lobbies don’t even begin to compare.
I’m really looking forward to playing this game but yet again I find myself disappointed that those of us who prefer to stick to the drift lobbies are being ignored at launch.
Some people enjoy racing. Others dont. I just want to slide around like a madman and not be penalized for every slip a tire might make. That’s where I get my enjoyment is just letting loose and having fun without being required to drive absolutely perfectly.
The first 2 months of forza 7 were exhausting having to (literally) add hundreds of players on Xbox just to have a decent drift match any time I happened to hop on.
I’m not willing to put myself through that misery again and I’m willing to bet I’m not alone.
Truly, looking forward to this game… but not until my particular preferences are met.
Please put haste in your release of public drift lobbies turn10. I look forward to the day you do with much anticipation =)
Please add drifting lobbies to multiplayer for Forza Motorsport 8, the Forza Motorsport drifting community is being let down, I was excited when I seen drift suspension on a few cars (3 hours in) but was then sad that there are no drifting lobbies.
Oh you’re really not alone. Me and some friends got the Premium for early access only to find that there are no public drift lobbies… This is such a downgrade from what FM7 had become.

100% I am here to drift. If you dev’s would realize; people will spend a ridiculous and huge amount of TIME IN YOUR GAME if you create a PRIVATE SERVER LIST. People will literally just hang out in lobbies and on the track with each other, voice chat, look at paint jobs and casually drift or just watch people drift.
What is the reason for neglecting the forza drift community?

Yeah – the lack of persistent open lobbies that allow players to casually drop in and out without penalty really gets in the way of natural community building. People don’t get into motorsports in the real world by showing up blind to a competitive race; they get started with open track days and informal meet-ups.
This matters especially with FM8’s launch on Game Pass where you’ve got a huge influx of new people that immediately get thrust into competitive environments where everyone else represents an obstacle to victory rather than a peer to play with.

I saw Forza’s official post telling us that if we want Drift events added that we should suggest it here, so I am doing that. There is a huge community of people that would be thrilled with Drift events added with RWD and AWD separated like classes, and many are waiting to buy the game until it is added.

Drift lobbies are the only thing that will bring me back to this game. However my expectations are 6 ft underground.

Why would you expect the motorsport that is Drift, to be in Forza Motorsport? Be quiet and give them your time and money
… stick with horizons … plenty of games out there for drifters … last thing we need is a lobby filled with 12 year olds sliding everywhere with drift builds in a race .

Yep. This is EXACTLY what happened to me circa FM7. Put up top dollar for early access only for my preferences to be ignored.
I literally added HUNDREDS of randoms on Xbox just to recreate the experience of a public lobby via private lobbies any particular time I wanted to play.
It took them MONTHS to release the lobbies even though (same as this case) there doesn’t seem to be a single mechanic missing from the game that public drift lobbies would require.
They were available at launch for FM5 AND 6. We still have zero logical explanation as to why they chose to do this crap and I wish they’d stop ignoring us.

Stick to forums where your comments are welcome. Horizon drifting is crap. The drift lobbies have been a standard feature of Motorsport in the 10+ year span of time I’ve been playing this game. Take your toxic negativity somewhere else where there’s at least one person who cares to hear what you have to say

I couldn’t add an suggestion in stupid website so I’m gonna put it here. This website is lame with way they won’t let me post anything. My suggestion is banning all awd from drifting event. Only fr allowed to join
Man this game has been a let down. Still no public drift lobbies. The only reason i bought the game, and not even a word about it. Bought the premium and early access. Such a waste of money. It feels like they have done this on purposes. Otherwise why not just add them. Everyone I know that played the past Forza’s only continued to play after campain because of drifting.

Please let us have public test drive lobbys so we can do what we want. A really big downside of the game here. There’s many reddit fourms and YouTube videos discussing this too.
