Im having the same issue, it actually kicked me out of my game right after a wheelspin, told me my profile was invalid and to delete it and create a new one.

also i have no issues when playing forza 5 on the same console

Well as it seems to be a known issue maybe you should be a bit patient till it is fixed. I know that’s not much fun but probably is the answer.
