Posting times with cars other than what everyone else is using

does anyone else get tired of seeing the same car at the top of leaderboards?ie 65 mini

No not really. Not at all. The fastest cars will be at the top of the leaderboards. That’s the whole point of a racing game. Drive your car, which ever car you choose because there are no rules other than class of course, and try to put down the fastest lap you possibly can. Certain cars are faster than others no matter whose driving them. If you actually look through every leaderboard on every track there aren’t that many at all that have the exact same car all the way down. Not yet at least. And besides, who cares? I mean really, who cares? There are no rules on what cars you drive. None. Zip. Zero. Zilch. If it’s the car that can get me around the track the fastest, guess what…

the top 0.1 % can usualy post top 100 time with about any cars.

I kind of half agree with the original post and half agree with mattp27. It is what it is. Some tracks have 2 maybe 3 cars that can get really top times. And other tracks in the same class will allow another car or two to squeeze way up the leaderboard. I am more tired of leaderboard cars filling up the lobbies all the time. What’s worse is an F50 tuned by a top tuner in the hands of somebody who doesn’t know how to race well.

Maybe I said that wrong I don’t think there should be that much of a performance difference in the same class. And I am not top0.1% yet I agree to use the fastest car. But I don’t when I’m in lobby

My point was that its not only performance, but also skill.

Are u saying I have no skill. I’m top 1% on almost every track!

Yes. If you feel you are skilled there are more than 2-3 cars per track that can produce top 100 times. You have to understand that the really fast guys compete with each other. Meaning if the 65 Mini is the fastest car then they are going to run against each other to produce the fastest Mini tune/time. That doesn’t mean that they do not have other cars that will still run very fast times, just not as fast as the Mini. The leaderrboard should be viewed as a giant competition that everyone who plays Forza can participate in. As with all things in life how you perform relies on you.

Also top 1% sometimes really isn’t that good.

You can get in the top 1 % with about any car.
With 2 millions players top 1 % mean you,re only 20 000th

You can get there by simply doing a clean lap.

Then maybe I’m not as good as I thought but I still win 80% of races on line. I guess I need to get better than top 1% huh?

I wasn’t trying to belittle anyone. Looking a scoreboard those top 10 guys are the best. It kind of tiers down after that. What your expectations are, may be different. Winning online 80% of the time is pretty good. 1% is good is just depends on what you expect of yourself. I’m speaking to the idea that people seem to assume that those guys are ONLY fast because of the car. Tuning and driving the top car on a given track and setting a really high lap time is infinitely harder than tuning or beating a mediocre on a good day driver in a public lobby. There are organized race series on different websites that produce some really stiff competition that will vary greatly from the displays of mediocrity in your usual public hopper.

ECT is spot on. It takes 3 things to be atop the leaderboards. Car, Tune/Build and Driver. The most important thing above all the others is the Driver. Some people just have the skill and some people will never come close. Just remember, this is a video game and in the end it really doesn’t matter. Just play the game how you want and don’t worry about other people. Do what makes you happy!

Point taken but nothing wrong in trying to be better. I love the game and it’s hard to turn off at night I just don’t like getting neat by 4 to 5 seconds a lap just the way I’m built I guess but I am a clean racer and won’t wreck someone just to win

Run the cars you want, if you are competitive with them then don’t worry about what the top 10 guys are running. I don’t normally run a car to get a top time, I prefer to find cars that will perform on the fringe of top 100 or better. I like trying different things, sometimes they don’t work out but it is what it is. So no, I don’t get tired of seeing the same cars on top all the time. Because I know we are only a DLC release away from the changing of the guard if you will…look at the release this week. The Stradale comes into B class and can dominate on some tracks that were being held down by Truenos and Buicks for the better part of a month…as people get used to setups and new things come out the leaderboards will shake up.

I agree. And I also run other cars just to be different or because I dig the car. The 33 straddle is one of my favorites from forza4 glad it’s here

That Car Is Fast In Forza 4 I Can Get 56’s On Motegi Full Is Crazy Fast. The Accelaration And The Weight Is Good On This Car

Hey drows24 200 out of 200,000 isn’t just running a clean lap.

If you can get top 200 time without a leaderboard car, what are you complaining about ?

I Been Racing Cars That Are Not On The Leaderboard Since Forza 3 Is Allot More Fun When You Can Make A Ford Ka Beat A Leaderboard Car This Did Happen In Forza 4 And The Percent Of This Happeing In Forza 5 Is Big And For Me This Is Why I Play Forza Games And Also Watching IMSA | TUDOR United SportsCar Championship And Trying My Best To Replicate Those Cars And Also Cars That Broke A Record In Nordschleife I Hope This Give You More Fun Playing Forza 5 By The Way I Think I Have The Fastest Or One Of The Fastest Corvette In S Class I Always Think Like Batman

The 2 most important things are driver obviously, and build, the right car is debatable as theres loads of cars that can make the top 10s on the leaderboard as long as it has the right driver and a good build,i think the leaderboards are going to get a bit of a re-shuffle now theres 2 new car packs out.
