Post Your Favorite OP Car from Each Class/Division Thread

Hello,

I want to take this opportunity to ask for the community’s help. I would like to know what OP cars you favor in each class/division. Although I could easily find out back in Forza 4 it’s not that intuitive enough for me to figure out in Forza 7 without racing the track 1st then taking a peep at the leader boards after a race. If there is a way to do so at Main Menu please advise? I kindly thank you in advance for that assistance.

The reason for this request:
Well, I like to get more involved in online play. But I, assuming others as well, would like to know what cars offer the most fun & best overall competitive edge out there. I am having a tough time getting the online aspect as I am use to getting my car 1st then finding a track suited. However, for me at least, I see online lobbies as getting the track 1st then finding the car. Which throws me off if I want to drive a certain kind of car. I guess I’m still old school with thought of A B C R Class instead of Divisions. I’m still having a bit difficulty transitioning I guess.

A thought on why I might have the problem with online Lobbies:
I guess that the way Single Player is presented to me I also grown accustom to. You pick a car then you get the tracks appropriated for racing (which is any of them btw). I only wish that way of playing transitioned into Online as well. Making it more seamless and intuitive.

IE: You want to play using the Porsche GT2 RS. Forza 7: Here let me find your Online Lobbies that are racing today in that division for you.

Looking to know what OP Cars you go to most:
Ha, gotta laugh at myself. Perhaps it already does and I just 'don’t fully understand" how the online lobbing system works. In any case, I still like to know what cars in each class/division are popular so I can tune them up and play competitively

The hope is to have all the cars I want to race in, OP favorites, unlocked, tuned and ready to go so that when I do join a lobby I don’t have to fumble around trying to find a car to race without renting it. Or a car that I’ve not tuned yet for example.

Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Modern Hot Hatch
-2013 Mercedes-Benz A 45 AMG
-2014 Volkswagen Golf R
-2012 Mini John Cooper Works GP

These are the OP’s I’ve found in this division. In that order.

It’s the Clio if I recall that is the most popular and OP in the division. Thats all anyone used online last time I tried it.

You don’t have to do a race to see the leaderboards. Go to free play and in the settings go to where you have to select a track. Select any track destination and scroll over any of the ribbons. You’ll notice for each ribbon that you can view the leaderboard.

It’s definitely not intuitive like all other previous Forza game, but that is where the leaderboards are located.

The fact that you have to make a post about this shows how terribly designed the leaderboards/rivals aspect of the game is.

Divisions are easy, just look at the leaderboards in Free Play (note: you have to be in a Homologated car to see the leaderboard for its Division). Most have 1 “safe bet” but you should find that there are 2-3 competitive cars in almost every Division.

Classes:

  • X - 2017 Renault R.S. 17
  • P - 1989 Mercedes-Benz #63 Sauber-Mercedes C 9
  • R - 1997 Lotus Elise GT1 / 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 Strassenversion
  • S - 1997 Lotus Elise GT1
  • A - 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
  • B -
  • C - 2001 Acura Integra Type-R / 1990 Mazda MX-5 Miata
  • D -
  • E -

Those are off the top of my head; the ones without entries I haven’t seen any Hoppers/Rivals for yet and haven’t had a reason to run them as Classes.

For the lower Classes you could probably get away with whatever the “leaderboard car” is for the Division with the highest PI for each Class.
