None of that should be needed to create manufacturer logos, as those should be readily available either through the in-game vinyl selection, or through that 3rd party software.
There are an infinite number of brands and logos, and sometimes several logos for a single brand, so itâs impossible to have everything pre-made in the game. Not to mention the financial hit for T10, since a pre-made logo requires payment of an authorization fee to the brand.
Whatâs more, those who use this kind of third-party software often do so to create characters and other complex designs, and thatâs unacceptable to me.
Exactly. They could limit the resolution of images that can be imported, so that full on liveries would exceed it. I donât think GT7 players create liveries using singular files from their .svg importer, as far as I know at most itâs characters from media that they import.
Sure in GT or Asseto you can upload full livery or character even image from a software or even Google.
But you know what, it could be cool sure, BUT iâm proud (and all Forza painters i know) to work hard and bust my a*s to create my own characters, artwork and liveries with the Forza editor.
At least I have the satisfaction of knowing that hard work always pays off, and that in my eyes, creating a livery is like a race, for example. You have to train hard to be good, and even harder when you want to excel ![]()

The people at Asseto or GT canât say the same ![]()
And itâs a great thing that both GT and AC are more accessible to people who want to make liveries, Forza shouldâve advanced past the FM3 system years ago.
At this point Iâm willing to say that modern NFS games have better livery editors than Forza because they have a much larger library of shapes to use, despite not featuring an .svg importer and the layers themselves being difficult to resize and move around.
It s always possible to do better i agree, but you can do some incredible liveries/artwork/characters with the current editor we have in Forza.
I can understand some people wants to do liveries in an easy way, but this easy way is a real problem in each game.
There re always people for who that s too hardâŚ
And it s a real shame imo to make always all too easy.
Obviously. You could also do that in FM1. Thankfully youâre not saying that Forza should revert to the barebones livery creator that game had in order to âmake creating liveries require more skill, and thus be more rewardingâ.
No such thing as âtoo easyâ, aside from AI âcreationsâ that lack the human aspect of creation. Letting more people create liveries could as well lead to more people becoming creative, and thus an overall increase in livery quality, because letâs not forget that as of right now your bespoke liveries will get drowned under heaps and heaps of basic factory colour âliveriesâ made by people who got the car when it first became available.
This is a very valid point & even broader than the simple color spamming that occurs, as I mentioned previously. Anyone who designs & is cognizant of the way the recommended page works with regard to this, can clearly see the ongoing pattern of exploits each week for the featured cars, by the same people, who have mastered the ability to game the algorithms to ensure they have multiple listings featured, for multiple days, along with some loading the AH with their designs to ensure maximum attention.
To your point, this ongoing behavior will pretty quickly discourage the average legitimate designer, who doesnât utilize such methods, from continuing or it will promote more of the same behavior in an attempt to compete. This is really unfortunate for the overall creative community & imo pushes out a lot of otherwise engaged players from a key aspect of the game.
Some simple oversight & correction of this behavior (within the realm of what can be controlled obviously), would go a long way to better legitimize the system of sharing & promote more participation from the community in general.
Creativity is pretty broadly defined (both figuratively & literally) & is perceived differently by everyone, but it shouldnât be judged solely by a win/lose narrative based only on the level of the perceived talent or ability of the creator & most importantly not by the ability to game the system to gain the advantage.
As others have pointed out & from my own personal experience, some of the most simple designs can prove to be the most popular, so going into a design creation with the expectation of time invested always equals the level of success, would be incorrect, but an expectation of fairness with regard to the gameâs system to share the design in a fair & equitable manner should most certainly be correct.
So hereâs a practical example of what I am referring to above. As most everyone knows, the recommended material refreshes for tunes, designs, vinyls, etc at 07:00 pm (US east). Obviously, itâs the night before the season changes tomorrow & the new playlist becomes active.
Earlier, I shared a design for this weekâs Forzathon Mini JCW car. As you can see in the first pic, my car appeared on the recommended page, along with several other casual designs shared & 2 which carried over from the previous day.
By 07:15 pm, the second capture shows the current state of the recommended page, which has now pushed all the others off with multiple listings due to the number of DL/like counts, which are: 10/10 for the top 2, 8/8 for next & the final 2 at 10/5, with the like counts continuing to increase exactly for both listings,
Taking in all possible considerations, I personally fail to see how this can be viewed as a fair & equitable system of sharing for the community that doesnât need some type of oversight.
You should also check out the liveries available for the current weekâs Playlist car, the Cadillac CTS-V SW - most liveries shared are just different colours. Makes you wonder why colours on their own arenât shareableâŚ
This will be cool it will make moderation difficult but if they had a moderation team just for imported stuff it might work, like i think youtube sits there and checks every video and check if it doesnât violate the rules or does.
I think YouTube has AI to do that. I canât see a team of people watching millions of hours of videos.
Oh well then i guess i was wrong.
I would like to see both. But there could be a difference in how they are treated as shared vinyls and liveries. Things made the more tedious/traditional way could be given higher prominence or a greater value when downloaded/liked/used. It could be that imported images cannot be shared as vinyls or liveries.
I think that is a good way of doing it. It would still encourage the traditional livery makers to publish their work, while everyone has the opportunity to create something stunning for themselves in a fraction of the time.
so, harder than the current system of waiting until someone reports it?
Imported images donât have to be shared as vinyls, but making them block liveries from being shared is utterly ridiculous. This feature would be mostly used for importing accurate logos, maybe some characters from media too, but not entire liveries.
For players that have trouble constucting logos, you can always do what I do. Go into the Create and search for a logo you want to make, load it in and then use it as a template to create your own, just laying the correct shapes over the top of the template. When you are done, cut out the logo you used as the template and just save your own version. I started doing that because I needed to have logos where I could change the colours to compliment my livery colours. I also like the gloss black skins with white logos only, or even a gloss white car with black only logos.
I have made various logos and race liveries and if anyone is interested, search for creator âguy690â.
there will never be an image import option for liveries, mark my words
We all know thatâs way too much work. Completely unnecessary work.
