After numerous reports here on the forum and on the support channel regarding crashes in Forza Motorsport during multiplayer races (or at the end, although more rarely), I wanted to understand if the issues could be related to the game’s graphics settings. I want to determine if the fact that the game crashes (unexpectedly closing and taking you to the Xbox dashboard) is due to a problem related to the graphics memory.
Therefore, I ask you to answer the following question:
Have you experienced game crashes (unexpected closures) during a multiplayer match? If so, with which graphics setting?
- I experienced crashes and I use Performance setting
- I experienced crashes and I use Performance RT setting
- I experienced crashes and I use Quality setting
- I never experienced crashes during online races
If you never experienced crashes could you confirm your graphic settings?
- I never experienced and I use Performance setting
- I never experienced and I use Performance RT setting
- I never experienced and I use Quality setting
In multiplayer races I often experienced this strange problem: the game starts to lose graphics, then the road turns black and crashes. Very often it quits without any apparent warning.
Here an example:
Has anyone experienced similar problems? I used to play with the ‘Performance RT’ mode.
Thank you for your cooperation.

On PC you don’t have only 3 parameters for graphics settings. It couls be complicated to map every combination.
The objective of this poll is only to understand if there is a configuration that doesn’t cause crashes.
But you helped me to understand that I need to add more options for the no crashes.

He doesn’t understand, believe me.
Please, block me as you said
Based on first voters, it is clear that doesn’t depend on graphic settings and changing it shouldn’t help
Too bad, I was hoping this would be a temporary solution.
Never experienced carshes in XSX with RT 60hz.
I have a great PC(12700F,4070TI,1440P max setting),but after updating 8, it often crashes when returning to the main menu,so I’ve been playing with XSX for the past two months
By ‘RT 60 Hz’ do you mean ‘Quality’ or ‘Performance RT’?
I use ‘Performance RT’ with a TV with Freesync Pro and 120 Hz.
Thank you for sharing your information.
However, unfortunately, from the number of cases and different configurations that still lead to crashes, it seems that the graphics settings are not related. I was hoping to find a temporary solution.
The combination of hardware on pc is too great to map a realiable source of crash. Add to that unstable overclock of cpu/ram and that many people install rubish software on their machine.
Performance RT with Freesync and 120hz
Unfortunately it is the same configuration as mine, but in my case the game crashes all the time. So, as already written, the survey loses its validity and shows that the problem is not related to this.
