The game closed 3 times, automaticaly in a 50 minute session, of which 2 times in a race. There’s no notification. How to fix this???
Bump this post*
Same here [PC], i got 3 crash on race after like 30-40 min playing.
The game is smooth (+60fps, no stuttering, even in menu its run well)
i5-4570 / GTX 1060 6GB / 8G of RAM / Installed on SSD.
Crash to desktop constantly, sometimes on startup!
i5-6600k @ 4.6ghz - 980 ti overclocked - 16gb ram.
I play on Xbox One and I crash quite a lot. Most often when I click on the rewards window in the menu. Says I have 12, but clicking it means instant crash to desktop (if that’s what you call it on xbox)
Same here. Latest drivers too.
Took me forever to be able to finally download this game and now it doesn’t even work properly
Bravo T10, bravo.
I’m also suffering from crashes. Happens every other race during the credits awarded bit.
I had one crash to desktop which did save an error in the event viewer, but in the remaining 3 hours I had 3 odd crashes. All of a sudden everything will stop, my monitors go black, and when it comes back, the race is paused. I was getting this in H3 for a while too. Mildly upsetting for single player mode, but would be detrimental in online modes.
bump
This NVIDIA Settings (for the game only) :
DISABLE WINDOWS10 GAME MODE + OVERLAY (GAME BAR)
Seems to help me a lot, i just made 4 multiplayers races + 3 solo, no crash at the moment.
Add me to this list, very disappointing game randomly crashes about every 10-15 minuets.
PC
I7 6700K @ 4.5
1080 TI
32g ram@3200
Update, Reloaded all Video drivers, working much better now.
yeah, me too. Crashes all the time. Rewards menu, in a race, at the startmenu, after the paintbooth. It’s a nightmare
Same issue here, game keeps crashing on the Ken Block 1-1 battle
To diagnose game-crashes :
Right click start button “Run” and type “Eventvwr.msc” (press enter) … then on the left side look at “Windows Logs” → “Application” or “System” . you should see Forza7.exe (or whatever the exe file is called) in there somewhere.
If FM7 is in there, click on it and look below at the “Faulting module” or a “Exception code”.
Also what DarkFoin said, disable game-mode, dvr and game-bar. Make sure that both nvidia control panel and power options in windows control panel are on “prefer maximum performance” and “high performance plan”
Make sure you don’t run any monitoring / game capture software / overclocking stuff. MSI afterbuner, EVGA precision etc.

I got the same problem with the game.
It crashes at random moments and the graphics are really poor and verry stuttering.
I don’t think the system must be a problem since i’ve seen reviews from users with lesser systems.
this is the error log, one of the 30-ish that i’ve found for today.

Oh, yeah…
It’s dutch.
And this is the portable system I’m using.
Desktop-SG43U10
Editie Windows 10 home
Versie 1703
Build van besturingssysteem 15063.608
product ID 00325- and so more…
Processor Intel(R) Core™ i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60GHZ 2.59Ghz
Geïnstaleerd Ram-geheugen 16GB(15.9GB beschikbaar)
Type systeem 64-bits besturingssysteem, x64-processor
GPU -Intel(R) HD Graphics530 (energy saving mode)
-GeForceGTX950M Graphics card (highperformance mode) with 4gb dedicated memory.
1SSD 126gb and 1TB secondary disk(which contains the game) the primary disk is’nt large enough for the game(99GB???)
I hope theres going to be an update soon so that we could play the game.
Otherwise the 4 days pre-launch gametime would be wasted and let that be one of the reasons i bought the ultimate version.
Greetings
Ps before i forget, windows game mode, and game bar are dissabled and system and graphics are on high performance mode.
Constant issues myself… please fix Microsoft Turn 10!!
Don’t forget this one either :
In Windows Control Panel - Power Options - High Performance Plan (These are the regular power settings, not from your graphics cards).
you can also try a clean boot of Windows10.
So nothing can start up with my windows?
No AV-console, no bacgroundservices from my graphics cards and so on?
It looks more like the game isn’t made to be played on a windows system…
Somebackground services are really needed and the game engine needs to addapt to that, not the other way around.
Bu 'll try it that way and let you know in some time.
Greetings
Same crashs all the time here, before or after races, on menus, some times starting the game. I tried after close all my monitoring and OC apps, switching Game Mode and etc off, but I still having this issue.
i5 4670k @ 4,6GHz
GTX 1070 Gaming X 8GB
16 GB DDR3 1866MHz
ASUS Z87-Pro
Samsung 840 Evo 240GB
Corsair HX620W
mine crashes my whole console, sometimes when i start up forza after turning on my console the console just shuts down…
@ Trackah123
Just did what you mentioned, still not working.
Even my AV-console was not running.
Yes i’m well aware of the fact that there’s a differnce btween the high-power setting in the power options and the high power solutions in my GPU settings (or sommething like that)
They are both set to max, still not working as it should.
Btw, you sayd to hide the microsoft related services in the msconfig console.
I’m just thinking about all the unused tools and backgroundservices that are running native to windows and MS…
That should kill my system usage statistics more then the non-MS related tools and services i think.
LO
But back on topic, D
id it all, didn’t work…
Yet.
I even did more than you told.
I even dissabled all microsoft related boot stuf.
As a programmer myself i know for a fact that even the microsoft services can be disabled, windows will start the services when needed then instead of launching them at boot “for in case you’ll ever need them”… but more than 80% of these services are never used by an average user of windows…
Still thinking that a computer should not be “tweaked” to be abble to run a game, but the game should be running smoothly on the ative OS it is made for.
I’m even more confused about the fact that microsoft or one of his affiliates launches a game that isn’t even compatible with one of his own OS’s
Oh, yes, i’m not expecting the game to run in high definition, but at least i would expect the game to run decently since i’m far above the system requirements the game needs.
