Point to Point Accolades

Some of the point to point accolades are nice a specific. Others are a bit vague.

I’m working on the “Change of Scenery” accolade in which I need to drive from Gran Patano to Guanajuato. Both locations just seem to be fields and forests on the map. Where do I start and where do I finish? I’ve made a few attempts and don’t seem to be guessing correct.

I’m sure there’s more of these out there. Hopefully, someone does video guide.

I have found another one in which I cannot find the start. “Sightseeing” starts at Lago Blanco. I can find a race by that name along the western coast, but it’s not triggering completion when I start from there. I’m assuming it’s referencing something else in that area, but I can’t figure out what.

Careful. There are quite a few of them that are not registering right now. Even some that ‘do’ register and then after shutting down the game and restarting, ‘unregister’ themselves!

Make sure you select the Accolade in the Menu (press A to select). I drove around until the ‘from’ starting point had a tick & drove to the area designated ‘to’. I did the “Change of Scenery” first go earlier.

For these P2P Accolades, I usually just find the place name (roadsign) on the map and then fast travel to the road closest to that…pretty much every time it has then checked off that I am in the right place.

However, some of the Accolades are bugged…there is one where it says start in Guanajuanto which won’t register I’m in the city regardless of where in the city I am…I have tried by being next to the place name, by the University, by the football stadium etc.

Easiest way to get these P2P accolades is to run races that go between the 2 places…the other day I ran all the Road races back-to-back and crossed off at least 4 of these P2P accolades while racing

There is an xp board on the bottom edge of the city, by the Bola Ocho circuit, mark it and go straight to it. It triggers every time

Those were two great suggestions on putting the accolade as a pin and running races. Tonight I took to time to find the starting and end points of both “Change of Scenery” and “Sightseeing”. I then created Blueprints for each which I will share with notes below:

Change of Scenery - 114 708 041
You will want your fastest offroad vehicle. I used my Hoonigan RS200 (433 698 653). You can take your time at the start as the timer doesn’t start until you come to the double checkpoint. It ends at the last checkpoint before the finish line.

Sightseeing - 145 826 864
Use your fastest street car. Something that you would take on Goliath. I completed it easy in my test run using the Porsche 918 Spyder (117 971 836). When you reach the end of the divided highway there is an immediate checkpoint with another one shortly after. When you reach that 2nd one you can cut left and drive directly to the next 2 checkpoints. Beware of the boulders at the dirt entrance to “Valle de Las Ranas”.

I saw a post of someone having difficulty in the “Taking the High Road” accolade. I’ll create a blueprint for it and post it here.

Are there any others that anyone is having a hard time with?

These are absolutely not registering. Or they do and it’s only for the time you’re currently playing. If you restart or the game crashes, its gonna uncheck itself. I had completed all the festival accolades and now a few of them are unlocked again. I’m not doing any more of these until after they push out the update.

Thanks for creating the blue prints, HONUSDAN. I will wait to try them until things are sorted out better.

Taking the High Road - 335 435 572
I would recommend a multi-surface or rally car for completing this. The double checkpoint before you get on the highway marks the start of the timer. The route goes through the stadium. There is a tent in the middle that I don’t know how to move…avoid it. When you get to the mountain, take your time, as you’ll have plenty of it. It’s very tight and twisty through the trees.

Since the latest update finally fixed Accolade issues I’ve been busy all day getting Accolades that I couldn’t get/got resetted, but I have the hardest time with the P2P accolades since it is so unclear where to start and where to finish, these are frustrating

The problem is the game isn’t clear about what it was you’re supposed to do. You apparently HAVE to pin the accolade before it will work. Go to accolades, pick the P2P you want to do and it will pin to the lower left of the screen. Now go to the start area, and you’ll see the first of three checkboxes check off indicating you’ve found the start point. Time won’t start till you leave the area so don’t worry about having to get on the move immediately. This was the case before as well when the glitch was resetting your completion over and over again.

nope, not true at all!
it works like any other unpinned accolade
i completed 3~4 of them without knowing about pinning them.

all that pinning the accolade does is let you know:
~ you are in the correct area to start
~ how much time is left
~ shows completion of the accolade like it does without the accolade being pinned
