I just had another reward from series 49 but once again I did not actually receive a Backstage Pass. I don’t remember when I last got one, actually, I know I haven’t had one since some time before the change to recycling old playlists.
My suggestion is to cycle all the hard-to-find cars in the playlists from now on, not just repeat old prizes. Or fix the bug but there are some cars not in that selection that I don’t have, be nice to complete the collection at last.
Yeah, it has definitely lost what little shine it had - “here’s a pass for a car you likely already have” - “er, thanks” 
Although as you say, there’s some sleight-of-hand going on, as I’ve had 39 passes for a few months and it ain’t increasing - although I’m sure the Devs are coiled, spring-like, ready to, er, close any tickets raised…
I believe I have only spent two of those passes since their introduction. Mostly useless for long time players.

given the age of the game it’d be nice to think there’d be a way of getting every single htf car written in, along with a special board somewhere that has 3000 explorer influence
I used backstage passes to catch up cars I missed when I took a year break, I would like to see them more imo
So much this. People seem to forget, not everyone has every car yet. Passes help immensely with that.
Well, yes, that’s true. I still think a better option would be to put all the hard-to-find cars into the game as seasonal rewards. A surer way of getting them either way.
Same here, i spent a couple recently taking my total down to 30! But now when i get rewarded them in the series the total still remains at 30. Not a great issue for me as i have all cars except the AM DB11 FE, however for others wishing to build their collection it will be an issue as i also note there are more cars in the AH now selling at 20 milion credits
