I got my fingers burnt on the wheel spins when it says spin again, so I did, time and time again not realising that my credit balance was reducing all the time.
I must have lost more than 100,000cr, but can’t remember exactly how.
Yeah, I just realised that I didn’t read what was on the screen…ESC to collect prize and ENTER to spin again, which was costing 70,000 a shot.
Helps to read the small print!
I agree to a certain point, most of the wheelspin prizes I’ve had so far haven’t been great (mostly small credit amounts), although I did get one Horizon Edition car (the Lamborghini LP5000 credit boost) which was nice. That said, there’s plenty of time for me yet, I’ve only had the game for a couple of weeks and a week of that I wasn’t able to play as my Xbox One PSU blew up and I had to wait for a replacement to arrive.
But the thing is, the game does encourage you to keep playing as there are lots of little ways in which you can boost your CR balance (I like finding the bounty drivatars).
A lot of things made a lot more sense then than it does now
God damn was FM3 a grind. 20,000,000 CR for that 250 GTO. Then you had a Shelby Daytona at 10 mil, 330 P4 at 11 or 12 mil, the 250 TR at 15 mil I think…
And you weren’t rewarded that greatly either. An hour+ long endurance race only got you about 200K.
Personally, while I’m not in favor of scaling all the rewards up entirely, I wouldn’t be opposed to a system where at a certain high level (400, 500, whatever), some of the lower credit amounts and cheapie cars were replaced with higher credit amounts and more expensive cars. Still based on luck, but at least you’re no longer playing for an hour to level up only to win 2,000 CR.
With that system, eventually yes, 20,000 CR will be the new 2,000 CR, but at least you could do something with that money. You might just be able to squeeze out some race brakes with 2,000.
Just last Friday, I finally bought every car in the game, and as such, I no longer need a bunch of credits, save for buying an HE or Forzathon car on the AH I don’t have. I do however acknowledge not everyone is in the same position as I am, and their thoughts and opinions shouldn’t be any less considered when compared to mine.
Borderlands games got scaled loot when you leveled up. Guns progressively got more powerful as you leveled; if you weren’t at the level that the gun required you couldn’t use it until you reached said level. Quality also had an effect on power though. A level 10 Legendary was more powerful than a level 13 Common, for example.
This needs to return badly. One of the many things I loved about 4. Leveling up was well worth it for a good while.
There’s no reason to keep upping value of wheelspins because theres so many. You earn them like candy, you can buy them, and mostly every week you can earn 2-4. If they raise it anymore there will be reason to buy cars.
In many games, a lower level character can group with a higher level character and face higher level enemies while still only getting level appropriate gear. I don’t recall if Neverwinter works that way, but in any case, under normal circumstances the level of enemies you can reasonably face is obviously related to your own level which renders your hair-splitting on that front a bit moot.
I played Neverwinter for 4,000 hours. If you want to complain about a grind NW is it.
My hair splitting is not hair splitting. Level ups are level ups. NW is grindy. FH3 is nowhere near as bad. In FH3 i am now playing for nothing. In NW at 4000 hours i was still not “complete”.
Making money is extremely easy and there is no question about it. I bought the 10mil Ferraris and spent everything. I stopped grinding for cash. I haven’t done a dedicated grind since then and I am already back up to 3 million purely off of Forzathon rewards and prize wheels (granted I have VIP, mind you) and I can count the amount of sittings on 1 hand. No microtransactions, although I do use the DLC cars quite a lot (not because they are free).
You could be asking for higher race payouts in shorter races, which would have been more reasonable.
You could be asking for higher head to head payouts, which would have been more reasonable.
But you are asking for increased payouts on a chance-based wheel spin reward system that requires zero effort to do and gives you something no matter what, and that is an absolute joke.
It’s much more difficult to level up the higher level you go, so you experience less wheelspins. However this is the same with pretty much every game in terms of leveling up. It sounds like you want to play less and get more so forgive me for going out on a limb to assume that money is your prerogative here. So why do you want so much money? Nothing in the game is “atrociously priced”. That would lead to the assumption that it takes an absurd amount of time to afford the most expensive vehicles in the game (which it doesn’t) and that you have to have everything. All this means in the game is that you have to actually work to afford something, and that is how gaming used to work and how it does now. Prize wheels are out of the question.
Not quite. You’re oversimplifying things - getting prize spins does not require “zero effort” as you have to play the game, win races and DO stuff to get to the prize spin in the first place.
You can literally get a wheel spin with like 4 Ultimate Skill Chains. They usually give out 2Kxp-3Kxp each time. It’s as simple as just running down the highway a few times at speed. Oh, I forgot. You’re not about all that debauchery.
Sounds like FM is more your type of game OP? Straight racing with out all this “debauchery” Seriously though this thread highlights what’s wrong with the driver level system in FH3. So often you encounter level 500 upwards players who simply smash goliath after goliath and when you race them in say an online adventure they can’t brake or corner to save their lives.
And here I thought the thread was wanting the credits to flow more freely in H3? Not the quality of players
OP definately didn’t play the x360 forza games. They were not as easy to have credits or cars cost more. 10mil in Fm3 and 4 was work and just be a driver. I’m so tired of the arguement I really don’t care what they do in the future. All the cars “free” or make me work at it. Bring it on.
Surprised to not see “TransAm” in here. I think the balance is better the Fm5 and FM6. But I understand some don’t like playing games or have time or simply want every thing handed to them.
Be what it all I’ll be and someone no matter which way it goes will be upset
As I’ve been name dropped here, I’ll swing by and put my thoughts in here.
I understand some like to grind, and work their way up to things, however there are others who prefer to have access to everything. My thoughts are, have two modes, one more grindy mode (akin to FM3/4) and one less grindy one (like FM5/6).
One more thing I’ve considered is something like Midnight Club Los Angeles, is to have things priced normally until you’ve completed the game, and after that you have them available for free. (optional of course).
Just in case it wasn’t/isn’t evident - I don’t have any issues and totally respect your reasoning for your thoughts on the topic. We’re all good.
This is a topic I expect to see you in, just as much as seeing Talby in others. SatNite in others. It just seemed bare not seeing your post.
I like it the way it is but it’s not so important for me to take one side or the other. When people coomplained about FM6 and FM5 about not enough credits. I thought they were out of their minds.
I understand the concern and maybe it could be a setting. But I’m not sure it matters. If they have AH in next game. I think the balance struck is about right for H3. If it’s like FM6. I’d have 200mil to spend and all the rare cars would be excessively high to purchase or they wouldn’t be rare because they could be bought only would be a very small percentage of your bank and 25k cars with 100k upgrades would for all intents be free to someone that has 200mil
I’m good either way. I play to race and compete against friends. The story line/ progresss and challenge in SP gameplay is usually over for me in month or so.
It would be good if they could put different cars in the spin, the same ones get so boring and I end up having to sell duplicates. We have had them for so long, god knows how many times Ive seen the Audi RS5 or M6 pop up. Getting a car I havent owned would be nice.
