Just… weird. I can play other games for hours yet when I fire this up… yawn. It’s not the gameplay. I don’t find it boring. I just can’t place what’s doing it really. Wanna put the blame on the audio, but idk. Funny thing is that FH5 used to do this same thing until I got them to fix the audio. Now it doesn’t.
I can literally leave FM and fire up Motorfest. Fatigue gone. Fire up Cyberpunk same deal. It’s just really really odd.
Dude, i just figured it was cuz i always play late at night but same. Multiple times now ive been practically falling asleep while racing and no other gane does this happen
It doesn’t matter what time of day for me. I can fire it up first thing in the morning and same deal. Drives me nuts.
If you’re tired then try level a car. You will be fast asleep in no time.
None of the very few available audio tracks in this game are up tempo. They are soft and mellow, which will more than likely put many to sleep. The older Forza Motorsport games had great songs, but now… I honestly don’t know whose creative choice it was, but it’s time for a change in leadership.
Nah. That ain’t it. Something to do with the car audio. The droning. The frequencies. Something is quite fatiguing.
I thought it was me only, the exact same thing happens to me. As soon as I change to another game all good.
I have a relative who experiences the same issue. What helped them was turning motion blur off.
It’s the sound engine or modelling, whatever you want to call it. It doesn’t sound correct and sounds loopy, synthesized. Puts me to sleep too, unlike a real car sound which is very exciting and stimulating in every way imaginable!
there are good samples in there though - Pagani Hyuara, 787B, FXX-K and FXX-K Evo, 599 Evo, LaFerrari, etc.
I wish all cars had gotten the same “premium” treatment.
The V8s do not sound impressive at all and the McLaren sounds have been almost completely destroyed.
Many more inconsistencies but I think it’s the lack of proper dynamic range and mixing on all cars that makes them sound boring, quiet and loopy/robotic.
Real shame. FM5 and 6 are still the best sounding games in their franchise.
I viewed a replay and felt physically ill after a very short amount of time - needed to turn my rig off and lay down.
The audio is terrible (through my rigs 5.1 surround sound from my POV), sounds like I’m playing in the bathroom.
You must be playing the wrong game.

So you think I’m making this up? At what point have I given off any dishonest vibes? Been with this franchise since the first game way back, and it just does not have the same wow factor that it once had. Nor did any previous Motorsport games give me fatigue like this. The instant I start a race, I yawn. Without fail. Every time. Just trying to get to the bottom of this so I can enjoy it.
Jags and McLarens are some of the worst sounding cars in the game. Sadly, they messed up both the F1 sounds too, just like both P1s.
Some terrible sounding Ferraris too like the 812.
However, I’m almost shocked how much love and passion have been injected into these sounds:
Lots of other good samples but majority are bad like you said. My favourite cars sound really bad. The more powerful and higher class they are, the worse they sound. Generally poor job on almost all V8s in the game, particularly the classic V8s.

Both FXX-Ks, 599 Evo, and LaFerrari are now some of the worst sounding Ferrari V12s in the game.
I always catch myself falling asleep while playing any Forza game, if game is too easy/monotone my mind just wants to sleep, even loud music don’t help (I always listen to something on yt).
Game is just too boring, and when it is not, it’s frustrating (cuz rammers).
The only thing that can keep me playing is close and fair racing, but that’s impossible in Forza…
Every sport game is monotonous because it’s sport, there is nothing happening that is unexpected or anything like that. It’s always the same old.
I could imagine that MP is different because you play against real ppl that are sometimes real die hards. That makes the blood pressure rise higher and makes you angry, if they ram you off the track and such things. But that doesn’t happen in SP, you can’t be angry against stupid AI, because it’s AI they don’t do that on purpose etc. it’s something else.
SP = monotonous same old same old
MP = exciting but annoying at the same time
It’s different if you play action or RPG games and such. There at least you shoot things and die and stuff like that, that keeps you awake. It doesn’t matter if it’s SP or MP then.
It’s the same in all other sports games, like FIFA, NBA, NFL, NHL etc.
The obvious solution is to listen to satanic reggae while playing the game. Excellent suggestion paper cut, I’m glad you thought of that.
Familiarity and then the constant hum of the engine, the visuals repeating and presenting an illusion of passing by you, and the lack of real challenge from the A.I. will put just about anyone into auto-pilot mode, or expierence some form of highway hypnosis.
When I feel like I’m drowsy while racing, I call it quits and do something else, other than playing a different game. If I am really tired, then I’ll take a nap, but if I am bored of the game, then there’s better things to do.
This happens to me as well. To me it may be just because I am winding down from a long day and I do some racing to relax. It’s rather soothing to me for some strange reason. I get the same feeling when I watch racing on YouTube or a live stream. Maybe I’m just strange in general.
