I drive a 15 lap daytona 24h race I must go after 7 laps to the pit but that bugatti and Hennessey didn’t go to pits. Whats going on here. Im sure this cars who runs 250 mph have lower fuel consumption as a ford gt. Btw it’s impossible to compensate that
Next example. 30 lap race indy I must between lap 17 and 18 and fall back from 1st to 22. And nearly the complete field can 29 laps with one stint or maybe some didn’t go to pits.
That pitstops and fuel consumption need more testing and then fixing. It can’t be to bring this feature back in the game and didn’t work. Thats devently a bug
different cars have different sized fuel tanks. you have to pit 40% sooner than the rest of the field? how much are you red lineing it. set your gears so you are at the bottom of the higher grears range for holding the corner so you can power out of the corner and keep the rpms down. the higher your average rmp the more fuel you use. it sounds like you are spending the turns redlined or near redlined. if its only you while the rest of the people dont have the same problem its your tune or driving style. one of the developers said telemetry would be coming to replays soon. whats your replays and the replays of the people that aren’t needing to pit and see what the problem is.
and as you can se pitting takes time. you eneter the pits in 1st meaning you probably have the fastest lap time at that point and after. racing is not hotlapping its fastest average lap time not fastest fast lap time. teh people with the fastest lap often doesn’t win, you usually hear someone in the middle or back of the pack bragging they had fastest lap. grats but 1st place still won. the winner is usually the person with the fastest slow lap, not the fastest fast lap. on indy you make be running excessive downforce. it lets you get thru the corners faster which equals comming out faster. it can give you faster laps but will use much more fuel, its like draging a paracute behind you. all that energy transfered into downforce has to come from somewhere, that being increased drag. you need to adjust your gearing for much faster acceleration to compensate so you aren’t much slower on the straights. that leads to having much higher rmps. every rmp is more fuel going into the engine. try shifting sooner, dont wait to redline before shifting. short shift. it’ll give you better fuel mileage.
Indycars have the same fuel size. And the fuel consumption is not real. That’s not the problem. And a bugatti veron never ever goes twice than a ford gt. Even with real fuel consumption. It’s ridiculous to have car that goes 80 mph more and then can run 15 laps. Simply no balance in the gameplay. I’m glad that we have now that feature but I can’t be that I can’t choose the cars I race against and then this cars have unbelievable advantages.
I’m not a little child that must explan that pit stop takes time. I’m into motorracing since 1990. In all the race there must be a chance to get victory and not run against 250 mph cars that must not pit. Such cars get instantly banned.
So I’ve buyed now a Hennessey and now I would see if I can go 13 laps too on daytona 24h.
Suprice suprice
I run in the eight lap out of gas…
The ai runs with the exact same car 13 or 14 laps
Your explanation are correct but didn’t get the point. The ai can go juch longer stints with the same cars. On tracks like Indianapolis you can’t save fuel that much that you can run 12 more laps.
Thats a bug in the fuel consumption on drivatar and or AI cars.
