After update 5 i have forced triple buffering in any multiplayer event. I have 165hz monitor, so in solo play i have locked 83 fps as before, but in multi it’s 55. I was trying to reset my settings to default, trying reset PC, trying changing monitor HZ rate. If i’m using 60hz mode for example, i’m getting 20 fps.
It was working fine this morning and i had 82 fps lock in multiplayer how it was since release.
GPU driver was updated yesterday and everything was working fine. Please, fix.

I did more tests. Looks like 165hz mode is an issue. Just tried to play regular mp with 144hz mode and got 72 fps like it have to be. Then restarted the game, switched back to 165hz and got 55 fps in multiplayer again.

Game is completely unplayable in featured multiplayer now after update 5
In benchmark and in offline racing im getting more then 120fps.
In multiplayer i can varely get 50fp.
Heck i put lowest settings im getting 45 to 50fps
I put 4k settings im getting 45 to 50fps
I put 2k or 1080p settings im getting 45 to 50fps.
And all have terrible framedrops and blurry as hell
Please revert this patch as its clearly broken.
I uninstalled/reinstalled drivers / game ect ect but still its the same stuff.

Sofar i have found out that if i set my monitor to 165hz i only get max about 55fps in any resolution or quality i play.
Went from 720p upto 4k and fps stayd at 55 whn used 165hz mode of my monitor.
When limiting my monitor to 144hz im getting around 80 to 90 fps.
So it seems to me there is an issue with 165hz mode in this update.

Also wanted to say this is only affected in any multiplayer aspect of the game.
Single player is not affected as i am getting well over 120fps and more there.

I got the same problem my fps lock at 55 and my monitor refresh rate is 165 please provide fixing way.

Possible solution here. So yes, it’s something with v-sync and looks like it’s happening with 165hz monitors. Maybe with higher hz too, but i have no data about it. I still can record video if it’s needed.
P.S. Sorry that i missed your response.
They just “fixed” high fps in multi. So that u can’t have more than 60, well u can when u use 75hz mode or something like that, but no longer u can have 100fps or similar. Before there was issue that 240hz monitors would allow u to play with 120fps in multi, that’s why they fixed it. 165/2=83 or so, it’s higher than 60 so they just 165/3=55.
Change your monitor refresh rate to 75 or something lower and done.
Or turn on fluid motion frames to fill up gaps xd

Nope, it’s a bug. Becuase you still can get 100fps in mp with some hz settings. And if you read my first comment you can see that i can play with 72fps with 144hz, i just want my 83 fps back without switching hz before opening the game.
Idk who told you about devs were trying to set it to 60. But if you guys are not wrong and it will be forced 60 for everyone after fix, i’ll probably just quit the game.

Hello, my game is insanely stuttering, it’s like when the game can’t keep up with the fps lock, it’s stuttering constantly to keep the frame rate stable, or something like that. its happening in Multiplayer.
Like I said with update 5 u can have more than 75 fps. Its not bug. Before update 5 I was playing with 100 fps, now I’m forced to play with 75
And even before game release devs said they will limit multi to 60 fps.
U probably got fps lock (cuz your refresh rate is higher than 75) and your monitor flicker’s, did u check how many fps u get in multiplayer?
I mean, 75 is not 60. And i just helped one guy to increase fps lock from 30 to 100. So my theory is — devs were trying to increase FPS and forgot about high hz monitors. Because looks like guys with 144 and below are fine.
But on release (and a bit later) there was some trick to go higher than 1/2. I didn’t mess with it and i had 1/2 all the time in multi before this patch.
I remember when they promised 60 fps lock, but it’s been 5 months without it and everyone was happy. There is no point to annoy community even more.
The trick was to use 100hz setting, then u got 100fps, but after update 5, everything above 75fps is halved, and if half of your monitor refresh rate is higher than 75, then it will be divided by 3, or even 4/5 if someone have 240hz + monitor.
They can and they will annoy pc users in name of “fair” gameplay so that console users don’t complain about pc users having too much of advantage due to fps…
Yeah I have the same issue.
Before the update I ran a smooth 70-90 fps in multiplayer (but the gameplay was still 60fps, it just showed the other fps as indication. Now singleplayer I run 80-90 fps (so that improved), but the multiplayer is stuck between 50-57 fps and wobbling intensely between that, this makes everything extremely jarring to look at and it looks even worse than 30fps…
Not sure why or what is happening at the moment.

Multiplayer I cant get above 46-56 fps, it constantly stutters between that.
Singleplayer and benchmark are fine. Playing high to ultra nets me about 80-90 fps, which is great. Especially for a laptop of 2 years old.
Before the patch I was able to play multiplayer perfectly at 70-80 fps (singleplayer same amount of fps), so something clearly improved, but it got completely whacked for the multiplayer.
Specs:

- RTX3070Ti
- 32GB RAM
- 165Hz laptop monitor at 2560 x 1600
Locking to 60fps with or without vsync doesnt help.
Heck, locking it to 30 fps with or without vsync gives a better and smoother picture even…
Why is it struggling to get to maintain 55fps in multiplayer (why 55fps?) but in the Benchmark and singleplayer its absolutely perfect?
Something clearly completely broke and I cant play multiplayer anymore because of it…

Ok, I dont some digging with some tests, I also had to reset my graphics settings and it got lower fps this time around, but that could be just a setting that is cranked up too high, for now.
In any case, I made screenshots of everything that I can add as proof if necessary.
Basically, the game FORCES you on the “60 fps with Vsync” target setting if you use “Unlocked” or “Unlocked Vsync” when entering Multiplayer. However, if you use the 60 fps (without vsync) target setting, you also get a perfect 60 fps in Multiplayer.
For some reason the “60 fps with vsync” target setting is completely broken in this game at the moment.
And the 60fps without vsync is atleast smooth for me on my end.
So if you use any of the following and step in the multiplayer, this will happen:
- 60fps = 60fps
- 60fps vsync = 55fps with stutter.
- unlocked = 55fps with stutter.
- unlocked vsync = 55fps with stutter.
But your own experience may vary…
