I think I have found the reason why the frame rate of PC multiplayer games is between 53-60

It seems that there is a problem with the frame limiter in multiplayer games
My PC refresh rate is 170. Before the 5.0 update, my multiplayer mode frame rate was usually around 85 (the selected frame rate option was “unlocked”), which is 170/2. After the update, it changed to 56.7, which is 170/3.
My friend’s laptop has a refresh rate of 165, but his updated multiplayer mode refresh rate has been locked at 165/3=55.
On other forums, there are also examples of screens with a refresh rate of 160, where the refresh rate is locked at 160/3=53.
When I tried to change the screen refresh rate to 144Hz, the multiplayer frame rate of the game was locked at 72fps,when my friend changed the refresh rate to 60Hz, the game frame rate also stabilized at 60fps.

It seems that they just roughly divide the screen refresh rate by 2 or 3 to approach 60fps, but racing games below 60fps are unbearable
