not sure if it is frame drops or bad frame time but there is definitely an issue with how the game runs in online races since update 10.
also asked other Xbox players in community and found similar experience with featured/private mp
playing on series x, issue exists in both performance/performance rt mode.
note that variable refresh rate(vrr) is turned on from Xbox settings and playing on supported gaming monitor, but this doesn’t matter anyway since i always had same setup/settings and was fine in previous updates.
I have also noticed this, I play on a high end PC i9 14900k RTX 4090 GPU With 64GB DDR5 RAM. Online my game defaults to 72FPS because it’s half the refresh rate of my 144Hz 1440P monitor. I have tried various settings such as lowest setting and toggling VSync on/off to no avail to try and mitigate this. Form using RTSS It appears that the frames aren’t being dropped as i get consistent frame timing, but the game just lags causing it to look like dropped frames or choppy timing. Offline I have almost no issues at all. I use RT off and mostly low settings because max performance is all I aim for. Personally i’ve been struggling with this issue since Update 9

I’m on PC and having the same issue. In online race, when taking corner in chase cam, will casue noticable bad frame pacing. Even if the FPS and frame time didn’t spike.
Tried V-Sync ON/OFF or adjusting graphic settings but nothing help.
This issue only happen in online races, so I guess it has to be something wrong with in-game FPS limitter.

The stuttering is getting worse with every update. They actuall had it working well in update 5, then seemingly revert the fixes in update 7.
And it is always the same place it happens especially with many cars around (notably on silverstone, but hockenheim, hakone, sebring and spa too).
Feels like they trying to render/RT high polygon count models in the distance given it always happens in the same plan on track.

Does this issue still persist after recent updates? Would it be possible to provide a recent video of this in action?
I’m now getting this issue in career as well where game sometimes becomes extremely choppy and unplayable on series x, i tried to take clips but when i watched them back it looked fine so i really have no idea what’s going on.
Example (happens every lap):
Silverstone (that whole section around the pits): https://youtu.be/7_hb7MYR4Bw?list=PLf6DrbWqOfV_0pVDfpiBM0OnlrpQs7wcu&t=2367
I am glad I found this thread.
I have been having the same issue…cockpit cameras only. Very frustrating since those are my preference.
Has there been any developer response?
Turn 10, this is still happening after Update 11.
In Multiplayer, cockpit view, the framerate/resolution stutters when in turns.
Xbox Series X
Happens in turns in all tracks and cars
Does not happen in other game modes
Happens in Performance and Performance RT

It seems like this is getting worse over time. Right after the update it would only happen once every few races. Now it seems like it happens every race at the same point on track. This is really detracting from the overall experience on Series X.

Yes, HORRIBLE!
Didn’t really ever have this stuttering on XB Series S, very rarely, in ignorable frequency.
Now since latest update it appears inevitably and consistently in MP-training and qualification, to an gamebraking extent, after some minutes racing like every ~5 seconds.
Luckily yet it doesn’t happen in the MP-Races. YET!
Once it starts to happen in the actual races sameway it will ultimately make me stop playing FM, its intolerable.
I’ll take that in training for a limited period, but in MP-race it was my reason to stop playing PC2 and deinstall it.
Won’t be different for FM.
