Latest update now causing issues launching (crash no error) and loading (infinite loading screen). I understand there are a bunch of things to try to fix these issues but here’s a suggestion: Stop introducing the known issues with new updates!!!

This appears to be an issue related to the opening Story mission for Series 22 and Series 23. The current workaround is to quit the game during the loading screen that cycles stats and game images (this is okay to do within the game; don’t quit the game during a Sync), restart your device, and enter the Festival Playlist again.
If you are experiencing a game crash, please report that direct to Forza Support via ticket with your details (platform, what was on screen at the time of the crash, which mode/map/car you were in, etc)
PC - can do the start of high low then infinite loading screen.
Same issue here. Finished another forced intro event then onto the infinite loading screen. Gotta love the last paid dlc push into a bug.
I’m having the same problem on Series X, i’ve rebooted the game 3 times and i’m still stuck.
i do the up the speed in hi low and complete the challenge with 3 stars and then doesn’t re load and stays on a black screen
happened about 5 times now
Same here on console, got 3 stars twice & have been sitting here 30 minutes with nothing but edm and hope
I have the same problem as @germancar169945. I’m on Xbox One X.
I have the same issue and it repuduses again and again
same, i hope they fix the issue in time before the event ends
This issue was existing for me at first start of the season.
After waiting around 20 minutes, closing FH5 (NO quick resume), restarting FH5: It worked. The introduction was marked GOLD then and did not open again. I could complete the stories.
Playing on XSX.
Just tried this with another account. Got the infinite loading screen. Waited a few minutes to be sure and decided to just press “Enter” from my keyboard. Series playlist came right up. Not sure if this works every time though.

I’m having a similar issue on Xbox one, when I go to donut media festival, my game stays stuck on a black screen then the game crashes.
PC. Same problem. Cant start the 3rd mission in Donut story. Crashes every time i try… 
I’m finding “sometimes”, it’s not infinite. It’s really just a stupidly, annoying, excruciatingly long wait. I have sat there and just waited (and waited some more) and it has eventually worked. But it’s a very long time. Also, almost always if you hit the ‘Retry’ or ‘Restart’.
The Forza Summer Party’s new Horizon Story “Icons of Speed” also has the exact same issue.
Game boots into Horizon Story and after I finished the chapter, the game indefinitely loads and presumably softlocks before I can even actually play the game, had to restart, pain.
The bug happened on the Xbox One S, unsure if it occurs elsewhere.
