Really unlikely. They’d sell not gift. There were counterfeit FE Capris in FH4. I did ticket, whole thing. Zip. No reply, nada.
Don’t worry about it. Lots of things to worry about. This isn’t one. You see them but it might be AI not real player.
Set up photo op Event lab. AI usually friends gamers tags, off line. One was in F8, 21 GT3, SF90. Not them. AI.
Worry about bug o’ the day instead.

Thanks for the replies everyone, I thought there could only be 1 answer but was really hoping there was another explanation I hadn’t ever heard about before.
I’m sure some will know which YT’er I mean and I can’t believe they’d be so stupid or just plain arrogant as to record + upload themselves driving cars nobody is able to by conventional means yet.

I’m not so sure. I’ve seen people like AR12 get gifted cars to make videos about them but they never get them early.
AR12 is using footage from the official letsgo streams to preview future cars
But I just saw a video with Series 8 Cars freeroaming and those Youtubers don’t have that much subs AR12 have. They use illegal methods to get those cars…
In another video I saw eventlab events with series 8 cars - looks like those already existing - don’t know how safe it is to test them
Just got clarification, you wont be banned for receiving a gift as long as your not caught driving it so everyone should be fine opening their gifts

OK, but what counts as “driving” it in this bug mess ? And what about not knowing it’s an “illegal” car when you get it and start using it ? And what about regifting it ? etc. etc. etc.
How about they just fix the problem ?

The devs should ban the gifter and not the receiver. How is the receiver meant to know whether a car is available or not?
When a player gifts a car just add a check to see if that car is released. If it’s not then don’t send the car to a random innocent player who apparently could get banned for driving it when they are oblivious to the fact. Ban the sender. It’s not rocket science…

and new players and those not so much involved in FH5 wouldn’t know thats an future car and would drive it… and it would be weird to ban them for this…

thats why the appeals process exists, if someone unwittingly ended up driving a car they shouldnt then even if they were banned they would have it reversed.

I think to be safe I’ll just uninstall the game and not buy anymore of the company’s offerings. How’s that sound ? Honestly, so many issues in this game are trying my patience to breaking.

I have seen for several days now, on Instagram there are countless posts about these users already having these cars in their garage…
I don’t know the details, but in some posts, in the comments they demand them from Hackers. They respond that it is a simple “glitch that allows the game to be made”. From FH4 it was announced that all those people or users who do this type of glitches or tricks would be completely banned from the game, this means that if you used an account where you have a garage and extensive game progress, it will completely disappear from the game and you will not be able to log back in with that account in the game.
So… what will happen to all these users?
This is not a cheat or glitch, it is a hack at my first look, since when they tried to do this in FH4 with the famous Owen’s McLaren P1, they were banned from the game with the above mentioned, many other examples in the same way as when in FH4, before the Jesko came out, many users already had it before its release, it had only been announced, and many even used it in online races, and so many other examples. I really don’t know what will happen to all these users, but if it continues like this… what will follow is that they will be able to play the next DLC before its release.
