I don’t usually dabble in the Rivals aspect of FH5, it’s never been my thing. I prefer racing. However, I decided to try a bit last night and discovered yet another case of cars being shown in game that aren’t actually part of the car list. Ken Block’s Gymkhana 8 Fiesta RX43.
This is getting really frustrating. Please do correct me if I’m wrong, but if they show these cars in the intro and thumbnails for the playlist then they must have the licenses for these cars, right? There’s no mistaking what they are. And it’s not the first time either. The Hudson Hornet, the Lotus Evora, the OG Vulcan and Huayra, the Aston Vanquish, and even the Porsche Boxster which was shown in a trailer video for the NIO EP9. What the hell is going on? QUIT. HOLDING. BACK. CARS.
Series 18 would’ve been a perfect opportunity to add this back alongside the Gymkhana 9 Focus, with all of the Ken Block tributes. If my badge doesn’t make it clear, I would really like this car back. Along with all of the others that PGG have been teasing us with but holding back for seemingly no reason.
They simply don’t like to give some of the cars. The same happened with 356 RSR, 356 GMUND, #94 vw IDR n others. Well those were not in any of the pictures but I’m pretty sure that those won’t be added in fh5.
Not strictly true. FH4 did the same thing to the Grand Wagoneer and the Shelby Raptor, alongside several others. None of them made it to the game. And neither of them are in FH5.
TBH I’m not sure how licenses work but if they’re displayed then it would have to be changed, because that’s a licensing violation. If they don’t have the license to display it the developer would have to change something.
Licensing is also timed - meaning they have to be renewed and also pretty much every manufacturer may have different thoughts after a 4-year span. Like certain cars can’t be added for various reasons. Most of them aren’t exactly clear.
Keep in mind that I also shut down a thread because it was a beg thread despite having a suggestions hub.
In general, just because it was shown in a thumbnail or banner doesn’t mean it will show up anytime soon. It’s happened before.
I’m beginning to think they acquire the licenses for these cars, but they end up low on the priority list and just didn’t end up making it in by the end of new cars for FH4. I can’t think of anything else that makes sense. I’m no licensing expert, but if they can put the cars in a trailer/thumbnail, I would imagine they have the licenses. So why not add them?
7 mil isn’t that much in the grand scheme of things, I sold my duplicate Aventador SVJ for 13mil on the auction house a while back so that definitely helped. I’ve spent a bit though.
No licencing problem at all. They simply don’t wanna give it. Have you seen that all other games for example asphalt 9 already has new cars like bolide, countach n others. They were added way back, even the revuelto got added just after the release n now it has the mclaren solus gt. If they can get their hands on them then why not t10? The only thing t10 needs is money. So I’ve opened a thread to make a way of getting all previous title cars those were never meant to be added through an individual add-on dlc scheme. If you like that idea please upvote!
I dont care about them except porsche so I can’t say anything about them. But obviously not all cars have licensing issues, moreover I never even talked about all cars. Notice carefully I specifically mentioned those cars which were already been present in other games for a long time n newly released cars are still getting added. But we don’t have them yet.
Koenigsegg Gemera
Bugatti centrodieci
Bugatti LVN
Bugatti bolide
Lamborghini Revuelto
Lamborghini Countach
Apollo N evo
Lamborghini terzo millennio
Lamborghini eguista
Lamborghini sc18 alston
Mclaren solus gt
(Asphalt 9 has a lot more that this. Including sc20, da vinci, roma, super trofeo, scv12 which we got recently)
Now tell me why we still don’t have them? I’ll tell you why. Cause they need more money. They might add those cars as a paid car pack in future or maybe in fh6.
Ok so how they’re having them. T10 is also a huge company backed by Microsoft… maybe bigger n way more powerful than gameloft. So Its not hard for them to make these! Even if they want to sell some of those as paid carpack we won’t even have a problem at all.
And the fun comes when a car is one off. There is no fun in driving a common car!!
They were able to procure the license (the long part) and the car for scanning, while also tossing realism out of the window so they don’t need Handling Data.
Turn 10 is 100% not bigger than Gameloft, one is a studio, the other a massive publisher. And they won’t have that much extra leverage, considering the Stellantis, Toyota and Mitsubishi situations.
And it is way harder for them to make any Car X than Gameloft, they need a much higher fidelity Model for their game compared to the low fidelity models required for a mobile game, which you’re playing on a 7-inch screen most likely.
They also need accurate Handling, every view a car can give, from the engine to the trunk, any convertible functions if applicable, accurate engine data, etc. . It is a lot of work to make a car for a game like Forza.
Don’t tell me anything about realistic handling. They have few catagories of physics profiles. And they use them on a same category of cars like the svj, sf90, f8, 296 gtb. They all have same handling profile with minor tweaks.
If you search the internet there are many companies which sell these 8k models of these cars. They can buy from them if its too hard to get the cars. It’s not an excuse. And talking about licence, The crew 2 has new countach, eguista n others, the crew motorfest is going to have all the bugattis mentioned above n the lambo terzo millennio.
We’re not idiots. Don’t think we don’t know anything about these things.
That’s why we are willing to pay the price. But they are still not adding these.
Thinking aloud, how did I get my credits? 434 million. Not bragging even if it looks like it, just context.
Main money source is probably wheelspins. One a level (in my case prestige 8 level 233 at the moment). Unlock car skill trees for more. Playlist events that give them. VIP membership for two supers a week. The house for one a day. You can get extra spins by doing the fallback playlist every week in addition to the online playlist.
Racing and rivals are okay for credits. I do the races as per the playlist, not many more than that. Some EventLabs to generate skill points which inevitably results in more credits and spins (can be productive, if tedious).
If you are good at creatives then you’ll get credits from downloads, uses and likes - but I don’t know if it is a good amount or not compared with the aforementioned spins. I’m not good so only get a few credits now and again.
I’ve never used the auction house except for the accolades and achievements. I’ve never sold a duplicate car from a spin, I gift them all to new players after unlocking interesting perks. So getting credits should speed up if those methods are used.
Can’t think of other methods off the top of my head.
I get that I have VIP which doubles my race rewards and I play a lot more regularly than most (I think I’m prestige 5 now), but even the most casual players amongst my friends are now over the 100 million mark.
I’m not trying to put you down, I just honestly can’t conceive of how it’s possible to play this game semi-regularly and not have credits be meaningless by this point. Is there a game mode that I don’t play often that doesn’t reward credits or levelling experience? Like the eliminator for example (never have touched it, never will).
