This is a great start. I’m unclear why those minimum specs are so high. I ran this game pretty successfully with the below specs. I bet with a little more tweaking this game will run flawlessly. I noticed that the dynamic changes made to the graphics is the only thing that caused my machine to hiccup now and again. Thank you Turn 10!

That’s a pretty good PC, well above the minimum requirements. Are you trolling or something? I must admit they are setting the requirements higher than they need to, but most games do that. I guess they make them really high so people don’t complain when they get bad performance.
It make same my I7 3770K OC, 16 GB RAM, R390 / R290 CF. So I turned oof dynamic, set 1920 x 1200, MSAA only 2 x and rest maxed out. Stable 60 FPS, once drop in 58 in RIO.
I agree. I have an Asus GTX760 OC with 2GB of GDDR5 (along with a 4790k, 16 gigs ram, etc.) and the game runs beautifully at medium settings for 1080p gaming. I feel that the requirements are a little excessive and are pushing back a lot of the community that could be interested in this game.
Yes that would make sense, but the minimum requirements for a PC exceeds the hardware on the Xbox. It is not lower, it is not even the same. The requirements for a PC are much higher. Granted it does look a little better on my PC with high settings than on the Xbox but that is a whole lot of power for only a slight graphical improvement?
I think the system is pretty unbalanced now… I have a Pc with i7-2600k, 20Gb RAM and a 4GB GTX970 Strix and when starting it tells me my system doesnt meet the minimum requirements… I mean i can play every game on Ultra setting. but not even start Forza, so i hope it will be fixed when the next game is coming to pc, dont want to have to upgrade once again…
Just a tip, if you hold page up and click quit when you get that pop-up for not meeting minimum requirements, it will continue you on to the game and let you play it.
Have you tried holding the Return page key when you click the exit button? I have only 4GB RAM installed on my system,and it runs 55-60fps on High at 1600x900 with 2xMSAA. I can’t see why it would not run even better on your system.
It really should not matter at all. Just by clocking theat 2600k a little bit higher it would beat most newer cpu’s at stock speeds.
Even a i5 2500k clocked at just over 4ghz will have around same performance as my newer i5 4690k, so there is absolutely no reason to lock out older generation intel cpus.
What is even more puzzling is that there are even people who play it on i3 systems which has way lower performance and fewer cores and yet they get no such popup box.
It seems like these bright guys at turn10/microsoft decided to just block any systems that is so so many years old even if it performs better than some of the newer cpus they support.
This is what I hate about the entire windows store/UWP platform… Microsoft takes away all control and they know what is best for us like usual ;
I am going to bet they are going to do the same with peripherals like racing wheels as well by only supporting the latest logitech wheels, even though the g27 and even g25 is basically identical.
Game dosn’t have that much requirements but it’s very flawed using only half available cores and not using thread balacing at all,you have to do half the computers work yourself to make it run well.
(unless you are lucky and it runs well from the beginning)
I got it to start on my laptop, i5-6200U with 6gb and 920M (with latest drivers) but it’s brutal hehe. Oh well, at least I’ll get some achievements and some progress on the rewards tier lol. The rain tracks are killers for low end hardware.
